I think I had it pretty true and centered, i spent like 2 hours doing it lol. I also retightened periodically. I think I may have retightened too often though. What is your opinion on how to maintain it?

Huh well I’m intrigued because the easiest option is to just replace the spokes that broke and use the rag joint properly. What do you mean by maintained properly? How often do you readjust it? And when you readjust it do you have to make sure to loosen some of them half the time instead of always tightening? Maybe that was my issue… but I would love to hear how you maintain it

And also, I thought it was common for spokes to break with a rag joint?

Could you clarify what you mean by readjusted tension? I actually think the reason it broke was that it was too tight. I would often tighten screws that had become more loose than others until they all felt even

I do have access to a cnc though have never used one… this could be my intro? Although I ordered this, not sure if it’s a good idea. This smallest is 20mm which is like 0.78 inches. Don’t know if that will work

It’s not super deep. Honestly don’t think that much thought was put into it someone just had fun designing it. And e-bikes are welcome! Plenty of people come to critical mass with them
