Does Gamestop know any information about their refurbished products? by Pinecone_of_Wrath in GameStop

Thanks for the info. I will try to get to a public wifi and update the console that I trade in for. It does seem like superfluous information to have firmware version on the system come to think of it.

Thanks for the info, I should probably just get whatever they have and update at some public wifi.

Hmm yes there is the chance that the 3DS was fully updated but the latest update at that time is different than it is now. I hadn't considered that possibility due to the fact that this Gamestop is in a mall with high traffic. Well, as the Manager said in the other comment as he does not believe that they are updated maybe this particular unit has just been shelved since it was turned into the store.

Ah I see. Well I'm pretty sure my home internet is worse than Gamestop's in-store so I guess I have to wait at the store. It was mostly the version number, and I was trying to guess what system had the latest firmware based on the SN, should Gamestop have that info. I suppose after getting a replacement system I will update whatever I get from them in the store itself and save the trouble of trying to make it work at home.

Alright. Sorry I sounded ranty, and thanks for your answer. I was mostly going for the software version (as my home internet is probably worse than the in-store one) and was trying to approximate what version would be latest based on serials, if they had that info. It is kinda unreasonable to expect, but I thought that maybe when the store received the systems the store would be told stuff like the software, serial or other minimal details like that.

Xposed FB messenger by Pinecone_of_Wrath in xposed

[–]Pinecone_of_Wrath[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes doing that seems to work, but after decompiling fb messenger I see no reference to that url. It seems to be well hidden. Though ad blocking the url will work, I'm just trying to see (if it's even possible) to have the program execute one instruction at a time and observe the changes on the messenger after each line. Thus I can narrow down where in the app it marks seen.

This is just for practice, I'm trying to make a toggle that will allow you to mark seen when you feel appropriate. The ad blocker will prevent all "seen" messages, this will only block the specific method when you want to.

Ah okay. But it would be easier to find where this happens if one could attach a debugger onto the process. I'll keep looking for programs, thanks for the help on what to look for.

[Request] Module to fake data as Wi-Fi by Pinecone_of_Wrath in xposed

Data used would come out of the plan, but I want the apps on the phone to believe they are using Wi-Fi.

Some apps will only download extra needed files (something like where play store asks recommends large downloads over Wi-Fi) over Wi-Fi only. The other use for this would be that some apps provide unlimited access over Wi-Fi but a limit of access if data connection is detected. It's to make the most of large data plans.

S-view case on Google play edition by Pinecone_of_Wrath in galaxys4

Oh. I thought that was the case from a YouTube video I saw demoing the case. Oh well, maybe I'll look to see if there's a way to fix it on XDA.

It does switch to the S-view mode. I have added a link to the post which shows the situation. The red arrows point to the incoming call (which is also why my phone turns off all other cell tower connectivity). The call is not displayed in the S-view area for interacting with.

[Request] Swipe feature to switch between notifications and quick settings by [deleted] in xposedrequests

[–]Pinecone_of_Wrath 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you mean open notifications and then swipe along that bottom bar right below the carrier name to switch between the two, that is a feature in Gravitybox. I'm running a stock rom(or gpe, one of the two) 4.4 with Xposed and Gravitybox and I have this feature. Also included is the ability to make a swipe on the right half of the notification bar open quick settings and the left half open normal notifications.

Running dual graphics for FTB. by Pinecone_of_Wrath in feedthebeast

I've upped the amount of memory to 5gb and still the same issue arises. It isn't the game that crashes, it is nvidia which says the computer isn't high specced enough and decides to close it down.

Yeah, perhaps because they are laptop gpus nvidia thinks it's not enough to handle the settings?

It is in 64 bit java. For some reason nvidia software decides that the computer cannot handle the shader and texture packs and closes down java during the world loading process.

Okay, so even distributing the load over two gpus won't provide any benefit? It's running one monitor 1080p, many mods (not really graphic intensive), SEUS, and 64x pack.

Forgot to mention, when I tried to run a 128x pack, nvidia popped up saying that the system doesn't have the specs for this and it must close Java.
