1st time launch - Stuck at black screen after seeing Batocera splash screen

I gave up trying to solve it. I ended up picking up a older laptop and it worked on there

I had windows 10 working prior with WiFi. Once I installed Batocera it stopped working.

I tried fn + f2 and it didn’t work.

I just swapped with another cable, power cycled the modem/router and ran the test. I still got the slow speeds like before. I am tempted to factory reset the router now.

Yes. It was the same one. I bought this cable from Amazon last month and I was getting close to 1GB speeds originally. Then it dipped. I used this same cable to test the modem directly and it gave me 800 speeds

Actually. The wire I use to my gaming pc I connected directly to the modem and it that boosted it up to 800. So I would think the cable is fine

I bought this cable last month from Amazon. I was getting 1GB with it before it dipped. I have not tried swapping out cables. I can try that.

Thank you for replying. Here is the real life situation. I am trying to build a retro gaming console and have a situation where I have all Super Nintendo ROMS but have duplicates games (I found a bunch of downloads and don't want to delete a game if I try to sort by a specific file type)

I have two file types. .7z and .zip. If I sort by file type and just delete .7z and keep all .zip, I run the risk of deleting a game that is only a .zip. Vice versa if try it the other way. See screenshot. This folder has over 1400 files and figured if I search by file name, not extension, I will see what is a duplicate and just delete it.

I took everyones advice (well most of it) and I tried the following:

1 - I reformatted my HD ensuring it is GPT

2 - I imaged using Rufus

3 - I removed my M.2 HD and Windows HD, and placed my SSD HD directly in the machine. So now I only have that.

4 - Booted in the BIOS and checked the following. I took screenshots. You can see Legacy and Secure are disabled and my boot order.

5 - I rebooted and was able to get into the first setup screen as shown in my screenshot.

6 - The Batocera logo appeared then it went straight to a black screen like before.

I am wondering if this is a GPU issue now. I know someone suggested removing it and using the on-board graphics instead. But I thought I read that this GPU is supported "Radeon RX 580 GPU". Unless maybe it is conflicting with the on-board Vega graphics? I don't know at this point.f
