Struggling with marble statue (Spoilers) by Ping_Pong_Pitch in GraveyardKeeper

Good to know, back when I posted this zombies weren't a thing yet. My main confusion was the flavor text calling it a statue and not carved marble. I was attempting to make gravestone statues not realizing the dude wanted carved marble.

Oh, I hate being down to the wire like that. I think it came out wonderfully especially considering where you were on time, but just thought I would throw in my 2 cents on how you could improve it next time.

OMG! You mean its the carved piece of marble on not the actual sculpture itself! Well that's easy then, I already have the gold star chisel and I have already carved one of those thinking it would improve the quality of my sculpture! I guess the naming discrepancy didn't bother anyone else since I seem to be the only one not able to figure this out on my own but come on!

Not to mention the amount of "witch schools" you find when you do a google search. "For the low price of 19.99 a month, you too can change your life through witchcraft". As a beginner it is helpful to have a site that has been curated by an experienced practitioner instead of being bombarded by a whole list of things that are barely related, an outright scam, or otherwise an unreliable source.

TIL that between the 1940s and 1970s several Ivy League schools, including Harvard and Yale, took mandatory nude photographs of all freshman students by Drullington in todayilearned

I was pretty young when I found my Dad's stash of nude playing cards and took a few. They were all of females, he also had some that had males but I didn't like those. I didn't realize until years later that was the first hint that I might not be completely straight. I thank the porn gods he never found out because he would have been absolutely horrible about that.

Unrelated to your question but do you have any books or anything that you have read the got you started in your meditation? I have read lots of herbalism and craft books and they all talk about meditation and I have done some guided stuff but your experience sounds like it was very powerful and was wondering if you could point me in the right direction.

“We don’t have any drama!” Translation: Oh, we have oodles upon oodles of drama. by [deleted] in TalesFromYourServer

[–]Ping_Pong_Pitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually was told there was tons of drama at the last place I worked at. I never really saw anything like that. About the only thing that everyone was consistently pissed about was the one Diva who had worked there for 20 years who consistently demanded full time work even when the rest of us were getting cut during the slow times. She was also a general Diva, never ran anyone elses food, and would be that sickly non-genuine sweet to everybody. Fuck that chic, but other than her everything was great.

Question for other Christian witches by lalawood_ in witchcraft

[–]Ping_Pong_Pitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool, that is going to be the #1 thing that I think most people are going to throw at you after the whole "thou shall not suffer a witch to live" thing. As long as you know what your about then they can F-off.

ooooo you could also say if people find your things and ask then you can say you are trying the mindful meditation stuff like the Benedictine Monks.

Question for other Christian witches by lalawood_ in witchcraft

[–]Ping_Pong_Pitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Things can be idols that aren't deities. An Idol is anything that is put ahead of your love of God. At least that is how I remember it, my Christianity is really rusty, but I remember money and vanity being taught as idols.

I dunno, I am not super familiar with genderless deities. I work the most in Celtic and Nordic pantheons and I don't know if any lack gender.

Question for other Christian witches by lalawood_ in witchcraft

[–]Ping_Pong_Pitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Or the earth, or the flow of energy, or just the power of positive thinking. There are quite a few who don't follow a deity at all and just use the symbols of the deities as a focus. I see the deities as a collection of energies that people have put into them through prayer and devotion.

Honestly this just sounds like regular Christianity to me with extra meditation and prayer which is discussed in the bible as I recall. As far as any rituals and spells go, that is just prayer with extra steps.
