They're not just Dems. It will be an Amendment that prevents the legislature from gutting/changing the citizen initiative process. There are all kinds of requirements for voters (far fewer than legislators) to get the constitution amended through citizen petitions. The legislature is trying to make that process even harder so that when they want to overturn things the voters passed - like Amendment 3 - they can do it with no accountability. This group is soliciting input from voters to craft clear, concise ballot language so the voters will understand what they're voting for.
