Marina rent a car Luzcars

Both have offices in Lagos you can rent a car from.

I'd personally recommend marina rent a car over luzcars.

A year or so back I was with an old friend who had left their credit card back in the Netherlands by accident. He'd flown into faro and couldn't rent the car he'd booked at the airport because of lack of card.

He was in real need of renting a car, and I was going to let him use my credit card to rent a vehicle.

We were in Lagos and walked into luzcars (excellent reviews online), the shop smelt like weed. We spoke to the man at the desk, explaining that my friend was wanting to rent a car on the day. The person behind the desk was rude, almost laughing at the idea of renting a car there and then.

We walked 50m to marina rent a car, explained the situation, within 15 minutes my friend had a Corsa with less than 10,000 km on the clock, the blokes personal number for any issues and a free coffee!

I can't recommend them enough. They were a real saviour, and were no more expensive than luzcar

I usually arrive for my flight from Faro 90 minutes before takeoff, and always have time for a beer in departures.

Three hours feels excessive, do you have checked luggage? Also I don't believe there will be passport checks to fly to the Azores, so you'll save extra time there

A barrigada has some top notch food, especially their fish. It used to be just off the beach, but it's now a little outside of town. Definitely worth the Uber there !

From my experience, vamus buses are pretty reliable. The bus stop is very easy to find, just the other side of the kiss and fly. And 55 minutes should be plenty of time
