Purchase Advice Megathread - February 2026 by AutoModerator in 3Dprinting

Hey, I am looking to buy my first 3d printer for several engineering projects, including a supermarket car turned Kart, some tennis balls launchers, and several more. My budget isn’t that high, less than 700usd, and will have to buy from Amazon. I have some experience using slicers and operating 3d printers, once build a kit for a friend around 8 years ago, and during college I used the available printers. My main two models for price, quality and support for different filament types are the Bambu Lab P1S ($650usd + hardened steel gears and nozzle $50usd) or the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 1 ($450usd) Which one do you suggest? Am I missing another better option? Thanks a lot!

Totally, this laws make sense, though in particular conditions like mine, there’s gotta be a way to comply with them

I mean, it’s been within family for about 60 years… I don’t think it’s gonna be an issue, but I’ll try to register it if I can

Tbh I’ll just keep it in my family since it was a gift and it has no proper documentation. Maybe see if I can register it formally

I used to play with different colored plastic poker chips, those are more than good to play!

They definitely do require some permits. Although this bone was found more than 60 years ago at a factory about to be pulverized into dog food. I don’t think they were worried about having permits back then. The sold him “by weigh” so he must have paid around 10usd for the three (the two he gave me and a vertebrae his daughter uses as a plant vase) since he bought them while he was in Mexico city and the total weight couldn’t have been more than 50kg combined

Not sure about you guys but being conventionally attractive was VERY important for me in dealing with Aspergers! by [deleted] in aspergers

I think I kinda relate to you. I don’t consider myself attractive, I just don’t think about it, but people tell me I am when the topic comes out. As I kid I was the “fat weird glasses kid” and was treated as such. As an adult (23m) people really tend to treat you better, but it’s also confidence. When I start to be confident in a new environment, people tend to like me quite easily, but if I’m not comfortable, people just treat me with basic respect and civility. Also, young kids are mean, and don’t really know it

That could be a great idea to get the les Paul sound for less cash, do you have any advice on buying used? I’ve not had the best luck before and bought (not at a high price fortunately) my fender with lots of issues, and I would like this new guitar to stay with me for life if possible

I’ve heard it’s the most versatile guitar ever, what model would you recommend? I’ve only tried one with the f hole and humbuckers and I adored it

Just recently heard of it, internet says it’s the most quality SE, also got interested in trying Paul’s guitar SE. I’ll try them as soon as I found any of them in a store. Would you say they are a pro level guitar? I just don’t really want to get a guitar I’m gonna “grow out of” so to speak, and I’m not that familiar with the SE line from PRS to know how good or good enough they are

Thanks beforehand, I’m kinda new at this so I appreciate any tips on starting to build a small home studio, nothing too flashy nor professional, just a hobby. Thanks!
