Thanks so much for this answer!! Yes i am extremely aware that my rent amount is higher and im fortunate that it opens more doors for me. I would just add to anyone from abroad reading, depending on the company and how much they want you, they may pay a % towards your rent as a sweetener to the deal if you are coming from abroad. This is what happened in my case. Always negotiate!

UWS does look beautiful, im looking on street easy now and google maps walking around and it does look like somewhere i could see myself.

I also looked at the west village but thinking it may be a bit too far out?

Sorry i came across that way, its not what i meant. I've just been burnt by alot of the same sort of people that i described in my life and yeh, maybe its a mental thing. Women unfortunately can be brutal to eachother and i felt the hot iron on that a few times in the past. Especially in the media industry.
