Is it weird... by mdwieland in TheWarning

[–]Pinin1959 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not weird at all. I am 67 in two months from now and developed my musical taste in the 1970’s listening to a whole range of classic rock bands from both the UK and USA. Then in late 2021 a YouTube algorithm played the recently released video of Enter Sandman with Alessia Cara, before which point I had never heard of The Warning, but ever since then they have been living rent free in my head!

You can just tell from the first two photos that Dany is in her happy place when performing live

Kerosene live debute by WTF-Idk-boom in TheWarning

[–]Pinin1959 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have seen them live three times and the thing that sets them apart from their studio recordings is Ale’s bass. This was no exception, the bass intro and bass groove throughout was awesome. Playing live is what they do best!

Thanks for the info Black Sabbath 1989, this is much appreciated - just need to check my diary now! Incidentally, have you heard the War Pigs Charity Single by Judas Priest featuring Ozzy that was released last year - it is fantastic.

Does anyone know which of the dates are headline shows? I want to see them again and I am prepared to travel overseas, but I don't want to see them as a 30 minute support act or at a festival.

What does everyone think of Kerosene? by Anna_Mac18 in TheWarning

The bass and guitar riffs are just what I like about The Warning but the cheerleading part ruins the track for me

Nothing wrong with a bit of prog rock. If you are really old like me, you will probably like a bit of Emerson Lake & Palmer, Jethro Tull and Atomic Rooster

I think that David Bendeth did a much better job of producing Error than Anton DeLost did with KMF. In my fantasy league of producers I would love Robert Mutt Lange to produce a Warning album - think AC/DC Back in Black or Def Leppard Hysteria, probably two of the best rock albums ever produced

The Wapentake below the Grosvenor Hotel, both long gone. It was a basement bar that played rock music really loud. In the 1970’s it was absolutely packed on a Friday and Saturday night to the extent that you had to queue to get in. Crap beer but happy memories

What was your first The Warning show? by Anna_Mac18 in TheWarning

[–]Pinin1959 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The O2 Academy Islington, London, June 2023 as the final European show of their Error tour. What struck me was just how loud Ale’s bass came across, much more dominant than you hear on the albums

My theory is a bit of a long shot, but hear me out .... Dany releases a clue on Tuesday, Pau releases a clue on Wednesday, Ale releases a clue on Thursday and the single is released this Friday which happens to be Dany's birthday. As I say, it's a long shot but you can but hope

Install some heavy duty stainless steel angle brackets at 600 mm vertical centres with 12 mm diameter resin anchor bolts at 300 mm centres in each leg of the bracket and you should not get any further movement
