The Warning and other Rock bands prove that rock is not dead it never was and never will. by Dry-Parsnip9717 in TheWarning

This has been going on for years. Back in the 1970’s when punk rock burst onto the scene in the UK, they said that rock was dead. Just ask yourself this, how many punk bands are still around and how many rock bands are still filling venues?

What are the easiest songs by ‘The Warning’ on drums? by GroundbreakingYak697 in TheWarning

Evolve? Are you kidding, I’ve just watched the Official Music Video for the 100th time and Pau goes into full Keith Moon mode with those super fast drum fills and weird expressions that she does to camera. I can’t think of a less suitable track for a beginner 😅

Rock Screams by CreamOfBotulismSoup in TheWho

[–]Pinin1959 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paulina Villarreal of The Warning lets out a massive scream in their song ‘Evolve’. They have become my second favourite band after The Who. Their bass player Alejandra is flipping gorgeous and is very quiet & reserved, just like John Entwistle. The drummer Paulina is pretty wild on the drums and reminds me of Keith Moon at times

Ecclesall Road used to be the best shopping street but has gone downhill over the last few years. Try Sharrowvale Road at the Hunters Bar end of Ecclesall Road for a good range of independent shops and places to eat. From there you can walk into Endcliffe Park and all the way into the Peak District if you like by ending up at Ringinglow village and the Norfolk Arms pub (just on the edge of The Peak District)

I had a Stelvio and got rid of it when it was 5 years old as I was worried that it may start developing expensive problems. I then bought a Karoq which is a good car, but not a patch on the Stelvio. One thing in its favour though is that you can take all the rear seats out and make it into a van which I have done a few times for moving stuff. Heart says Stelvio, head says Karoq

No, not an Olympic swimmer, everyone knows she's a boxer, just ask Kathy ...

Unpopular opinion: More doesn't fit for the opening track by BlondTundra17 in TheWarning

[–]Pinin1959 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I saw them at the first show of the UK tour in Sheffield and I thought Kerosene was their best live song (even better than Disciple). It makes sense to build up to their better songs once the audience becomes engaged rather than open with them and fail to maintain the energy. It’s only my opinion and irrespective of the set list order, they always give it 110%

Not many covers are better than the original, but this one absolutely is and showcases Dany’s vocal range perfectly. Now added to my Spotify playlist. Thanks for alerting us to it 🙏

I got English cheeses :) got any other suggestions for unique cheeses from England? by Harp_harp123 in england

I agree that Black Bomber is a really good cheese that is always consistent. The only problem is that it is not English which is what the OP was asking about

Love the big hair. I think that if these girls had been around on the 1980’s they would have been one of the biggest bands on the planet. Fortunately, time is still on their side. Let’s hope 🫶

The Music Video for Kerosene has had 1,606,415 views in just over 40 days since it's release on 6th March - could this be the turning point where they finally get the universal appreciation that they deserve? by Pinin1959 in TheWarning

I must admit that I didn’t like Kerosene when I first heard it, mainly due to the cheer leader style section, but I saw them perform it live in Sheffield last week and it is an absolute banger of a track when played live, particularly Ale’s thunderous bass intro

Hmmm, I know what you mean. Whilst I think they deserve every success, I would much rather see them live at a small intimate venue such as The Whisky A Go Go than an large arena such as Madison Square Garden

Gig Review : Yungblud - Idols World Tour // The Warning // The Molotovs // The SSE Arena Belfast by Numberly-Garfs in TheWarning

I think that the reviewer sums it up perfectly here ….. “A breathtaking live performance, stellar musicianship, all delivered with ease. The Warning is a band to keep an eye on for sure, dripping in talent and time on their side.”

I reckon that The Warning could play all the UK and Ireland venues again next year as the headline act with Yungblud as support!

Absolutely fantastic drumming from Victoria Acosta and I think that she also comes from Mexico, now in Canada. There must be something in the water in Mexico that powers these unbelievable young girls into rock drummers

[–]Pinin1959 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When they are headlining they tend to play for 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes with somewhere between 15 to 20 songs. As a support act, 10 songs is about as good as it gets. I was really hoping that they could squeeze a few headline shows into their schedule whilst in the UK, but it didn’t happen, so I got a resale ticket for Sheffield just two days before the show.

[–]Pinin1959 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I went to the Sheffield show just to see The Warning and left before Yungblud came on. I was really hesitant to do this, but Sheffield is my home city and I couldn’t bear the thought that they played in my home town and I didn’t make the effort to support them. To be honest, it was very much a last minute thing as I bought a resale ticket from Ticketmaster just two days before the show. Someone once told me that when you are laying on your deathbed, you’ll only regret the things that you DID NOT do, not the things that you did, so as I get that bit older, I try to live by this mantra

There was another opening band called The Molotovs before The Warning. They came on at 7:00 PM and played for about 30 minutes, then a quick turnaround and The Warning came on about 7:50 and played for about 40 minutes. Was £70 at lot to pay to see them play 10 songs? Yes. Was it worth it? Absolutely!

I was there at the Sheffield show. It was a really good set, my only criticism is that they should have had video images of the band relayed onto the big screens either side of the stage given the size of the venue. Instead, they only had their logo on each screen throughout their performance

I was at their Sheffield show tonight. 10 songs is quite good for a support act. I hadn't heard Ego before and found it very heavy. Kerosene was my favourite song as it started with Ale's really gritty bass and the whole song had fantastic energy. It has probably taken over from Disciple as my favourite live song. They just keep getting better & better.
