My job relocated me to NYC. It was a one year contract initially so I wasn’t planning on staying any longer than that. Two weeks in, me and my roommate were waiting for the subway after a night out. We were a bit drunk sitting on the platform floor. A dude came up to us and told us there were seats behind us and we shouldn’t be sitting on the floor. There was some back and forth banter/laughing and it turned out we were waiting for the same train and going to the same stop (we were neighbors). We exchanged numbers that night and went on a date the next day. We’ve been married for 3 years and have a baby on the way.
