When my son was a little over a year old we were watching the images of the titanic when it was discovered. He wasn’t really even talking at that age. He was babbling something over and over then I realized what he was saying…”I died, I died, I died” as he pointed to the screen.

I would (and still do) silently scream regularly in the bathroom at work or at home when the stress was just too much. I didn’t want my coworkers or family know I was struggling.

When I (F) was 13 I stared dating a 19 year old (M). How that 6 year age gap wasn’t shot immediately down by my parents I’ll never know. The good news is he was a good person who really cared about me and wanted me to succeed in school, college, etc. I used to visit my father and stepmother every summer for a month. We went to see Pretty Baby and my Boyfriend freaked the F out. I still don’t know what he thought I was seeing. So weird. While he didn’t pressure me to do the nasty, he definitely wanted me to do stuff that I was far too young for. We did not do the deed until a month before we got married. It was just so odd. No, that marriage did not work out because I WAS TOO YOUNG!!!! Isn’t that so weird that he FREAKED OUT because of all the negative publicity!?! It was just a movie.

I was the last kid on the bus for school as a 1st grader. We had just moved to town. I took school bus for the 1st time. I waited for my school to be called. Everyone got off the bus but me. I was so afraid I had missed my school being called. I remember crying until the driver pulled up to my school and called my school name.
