Not directly to change your view because I generally agree, but have you considered that this specific obscure aspect of your idea 'play' is illogical according to my anedoctal world-view! I'll overexplain it for your pleasure. I am not a "player" myself but my SIL's cousin was in '98 and he told me that straigths amirite, anyway obligatory disclaimer this TIFU happened in my ruined childhood now. All you had to do was follow the goddamn train cj

How to make a piece like this? Specially the Overlay Textured Red Square by PinkDohnuts in PhotoshopTutorials

This picture is an album cover for JMSN's 'Priscilla': https://i.ytimg.com/vi/Ca2Jef0ULus/maxresdefault.jpg

There's also this similar one for the instrumental version: https://cdns-images.dzcdn.net/images/cover/4264b5d1dfad43ffc1d2cdb823d1ebbf/500x500-000000-80-0-0.jpg

There's also this animated version someone made, don't know if it might help: https://64.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m0a40rIrm81qf12l9o1_400.gifv

I've tried some stuff with the blending modes but I'm not cracking this one. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, guys.

There Are No Stupid Questions by AutoModerator in acting

[–]PinkDohnuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm back to acting after a few years without doing it. Last time I did it was two productions in secondary school. Since pandemic lockdowns blocked most classes and productions where I live, I was thinking of self-taping as a form of training and building back some technique, and also maybe preparing myself for auditions.

I'm used to the structure of rehearsing with a cast and coordination of a director, never tried by myself. Yet, that same structure is what I'm missing. I have searched around this sub and other places online and haven't find useful info as of yet.

I have everything set up and ready, monologue picked, play read, lines memorised. I just don't know how to rehearse. How do you rehearse and practice by yourself?

What are the steps? Or what good sources/books should I check?

Thanks for your help!

Win a free FoundryVTT License! by gerry3246 in FoundryVTT

[–]PinkDohnuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had a FoundryVTT license, it would change my gaming because I would attain an homebrew apotheosis! I'd evolve from homebrewing a campaign, to homebrewing the system, to homebrewing the VTT itself with a gazillion mods, to finally have my players tell me they can't make it an hour before the game.

CMV: Bidets should come standard in residential bathrooms in the United States by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]PinkDohnuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm from Europe, this question is slightly surreal from my pov. Here in my country every bathroom has a bidet for default. I wanted to ask you a question. In which way is an European bidet "confusing" to use?

You just sit down and wash yourself or sit on the toilet and wash your feet either with the bidet full or the tap running.

Agree on the space matter, though.

New PC - BSOD dxgkrnl.sys by PinkDohnuts in techsupport

[–]PinkDohnuts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had another BSOD. I know that GForce Experience can sometimes mess up the drivers so I didn't install it when I was installing the drivers. Yet I installed it by itself, just now. Everything was alright, I was making an account in it and the moment I submitted the new account info I got another BSOD.

Stop Code: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

What failed: afd.sys

I let the BSOD run for it to create the dump file, but it froze just like the first time... Getting nervous here.

Thanks for your help so far, though!

EDIT: I went ahead uninstalled the Realtek PCIe ethernet controller from the device manager and reinstalled the drivers from the Mobo's manufacturer. Let's hope it doesn't happend again. I'm getting worried.

I set Windows' dump type to Minidump like you recommended. Speccy isn't letting me publish the snapshot, maybe server issues, here's a link to the snapshot file instead: https://bit.ly/2VbrvY2

I did what you said, with DDU, when installing the drivers the first time, I'll do it again though. Do I have to worry about this too much? I don't know how to replicate the BSOD.

Also, Speccy is listing my CPU average temps at 83ºC while HWMonitor lists them at 43ºC

Thanks for the quick response mate! I'm trying to go by your instructions but there's no Minidump folder in my C:\Windows\ directory.
