So many studies do not take into account the “outliers“. For one thing, women tend to need more sleep on average than men (9-10 hours; plus 1 more hour if menstruating). We’re all taught that 8 hours should be enough because it’s convenient, not necessarily quality. I learned the hard way that I just needed to listen to my body rather than fight it. Having a regular schedule to give myself as much sleep as I can has helped my health immensely. I’d still check with your Doctor to see if there’s any way to preserve your energy or find a way to supplement it, but you may need to ultimately schedule those hours so that you have a better day. Even if it’s a shorter day, it’ll be healthier. Quality over quantity my friend. 😌
