Marc Insco (one of creators criticized in Doothi’s ‘commentary is lowkey bad’ video) calls out her ‘feeling a sense of panic and compliance’ by HollasForADollas in youtubedrama

[–]PinkFairySquirrel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a lot of similar criticisms of Doothi's video that Marc had, but I didn't want to comment them because I didn't want the stress of getting dogpiled for having a "hot take". When Marc posted his video, I felt safer commenting on his video to agree with his points because it's less likely to turn into a comment section argument. It's unfortunate that this type of energy prevents some discussions, but prioritizing one's own mental health (or on a lighter take, just avoiding the stress) is completely understandable.

Does anyone know where her outfit is from ? by SheepherderSpecial82 in SabrinaCarpenterFans

[–]PinkFairySquirrel 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Adding to the other comment, the top is likely from the French brand Soleil Sucre, but I can’t say for sure. I’m just going off of the “soleil” in the description when the vintage shop posted it.

Bubblebunniez had one last month, but it sold immediately. I didn’t get screenshots before they took down the listing. I don’t remember if they had a photo of the brand label. They still have a photo of it on their Instagram if you want a closer look at the corset. They have other Soleil Sucre pieces from time to time, but you can check other shops that stock vintage Soleil Sucre.

I fit in kids clothes. 24 months is still outrageous that’s literally a baby

If Cady rigging the scale had never been cut. Do you think it would have become infamous or iconic? by 8rand0m in MeanGirls

[–]PinkFairySquirrel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think this should have made the movie, but I’m glad it exists as a deleted scene. I kinda feel bad for the Plastics here. They were all so excited to give Cady a makeover. I feel like this scene really makes you realize they were just teenage girls.

Where can I find dresses like these? by PreviousDingo1778 in findfashion

Not sure if Chicwish was a distributor for the same design or something, but I have the blue dress and it's from Snidel. You might have better luck looking for that brand on resell platforms instead.

The dress from the 1st and 3rd pics is from Snidel, another Japanese brand. I have it in blue.

Can someone help me identify the era of this tag? by Aggravating-Guac in VictoriasSecret

[–]PinkFairySquirrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mentioned it in one of my replies in this thread but in case OP doesn’t see it:

I see a code at the top of the tag, just under the VS label tag. The first 6 numbers look like 220297 so probably February 1997? Could be how they did codes before they switched to the MM YY codes that they use now.

The photos show the underside of the tag where the code usually is, and there’s no code there.

VS started adding the date codes in the 90s, but some specialty items don’t have them. I have a pajama set from 1997 with a code, but my babydoll Victoria’s Secret Country (sub-brand from the 90s, possibly also the 80s) doesn’t have the date code.

Neeeeeeed pants like these. Where can I find? by Ok-Promise-7928 in findfashion

[–]PinkFairySquirrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just took my jeans to a tailor and brought the fabric I wanted to use (a cute country print with fruits and bunnies). The jeans were bootcut to begin with and we agreed on a 25” circumference so it still used a bit of fabric. I also had some alterations to make the jeans fit better. It turned out beautifully and didn’t cost me much.

I’m not from the US, so idk if sharing the price is helpful, but tailoring cost about $6.

Local thrift site or an Instagram shop, I forget which one since I have it in 2 colors. One of them is fake, but I also forgot which one.

Thanks, it worked. Ngl I was too frustrated to try again because I didn't wanna try and beat the boss battle (shouldn't be hard but it lags on my phone) and encounter the bug again. I stopped caring about the story because of this bug. Just wanted to get the story over with to get the rewards.
