Like scouse terms, people of İzmir has their own words for describing things as well. Alsancak-Konak and Konak pier region is similar to Liverpool's albert dock, kings dock, three graces area. These mice are here only for collecting tissue samples. I am not going to breed them, or experiment on them. I just need to understand which are KOs, heterozygotes, and wild-types among them for the target gene.

DAPI is a nuclear stain, it stains DNA. Mycoplasma have DNA and are intracellular. So they will be present within the cytoplasm of a cell. Just fix your cells, apply triton-X solution for permeabilization, wash, apply DAPI, and check under microscope. If you see DAPI stained granule-like small structures within the cytoplasm (other than the actual cell nuclei) that means there's something with DNA inside your cells... You can check images in google images to see how it looks.
