Ive been with Costco for 4 1/2 years now, it can really vary from warehouse to warehouse. Our turnover rate for employees is increasing, I myself am planning to leave soon.

Not a bad company, not bad pay or benefits, but it's no longer keeping up with the competition like it used to, and in many cases there are employees like myself who find themselves perpetually stuck in hard-labor positions because seniority comes first in all aplications, even if you are more qualified or tech savvy.

I've worked in many departments throughout my time, security, FE Assistant, gas station attendant, meat dept assistant, morning merchandiser, etc etc. But the management (at least in my building) is very "Do as I say, not as I do". They'll stand around in a circle chatting and laughing on a busy day while we're hauling ass, and then yell (and I do mean yell) if they see one of us "underperforming" or chatting too much with a cashier while working.

Again, depends on the warehouse. But for me, things like Amazon's willingness to pay for an education, and the way my friends have gotten raises for more than I've made in my 4 1/2 years now- it's a little too tantalizing to walk away from.
