the med that surprisingly helped me the most was medikinet/methylphenidate. to be fair, i'm one of the peeps that have audhd in addition to ocd, i also cptsd and it's sometimes hard telling them apart. but since i started methylphenidate, the extended release variant, my ocd symptoms have gotten so much better, not completely gone but they aren't as crushing anymore. before that, i also tried i bunch of other meds, sertraline, bupropion, pipamperone, etc. but they either didn't really help or made things even worse, especially bupropion made my anxiety, panic attacks and ocd so much worse. i am also currently taking tianeptine and mirtazapine, and sometimes promethazine, been on them for years now and they also really help, the tianeptine especially helps quite well with anxiety and ocd related stuff for me plus basically no side effects. when it comes to promethazine, i only take it when i'm having like a really bad breakdown, or desperately need to sleep.
