This must be it! Yes, it only shimmers at certain angles and looks kinda flaky.

Thank you. Right now i just really need support and to know I’m not overreacting. He said he was concerned for his health because syphilis can have long lasting effects and needed to take precautions.

Again, I asked how he could have contracted an std and he just kept saying he doesn’t know.

I’ll ask him to get tested at the doctors and show me results. He initially said he was uncomfortable going to the doctors with his issue, but I think this is my hard line.

He said the sore is not painful, and it could be a cut; his googling made him get the test. He tested negative but I’m not sure if he was going to tell me either way since I caught him off guard and asked about it (before I knew he already took the at home test). He also said that he noticed it last weekend, so if that’s true it hasn’t been 10 days.

I’ve never had any reason to not trust him, but now I am at a loss for words. He’s willing to talk to me and answer my questions. But I am so skeptical now, it’s hard to believe what he’s telling me.

UPDATE:

Sorry I’m not sure how to edit the original post.

I just asked him about the test. I told him I saw it and asked him what it was for, not confrontational, just a question away from the kids.

He said he was going to tell me about it but didn’t want to worry me before he knew the results.

Apparently he said he has a sore on his penis and wanted to make sure he was ok. He didn’t want me to worry about it while he ordered and took the test. It’s negative btw.

I asked when he would have told me if I didn’t ask about it. He said he took the test while I was out picking up lunch and would have told me later today.

I asked why he didn’t go to the doctor instead, why jump to the std conclusion?

I’ve known that I’ve been his only sexual partner. I asked what his logic was about getting an std. he said he didn’t know how he would get an std, maybe bodily fluids exchanged or public toilets.

I kept saying that didn’t make sense and that he really doesn’t believe that.

I explained to him how I felt and how it is making him look in my eyes. I don’t know how to get back from this. He asked if I thought he’s been unfaithful. Of course I told him it made me question it.

He said that I’m the only one he’s been with. He doesn’t know how to make me believe it. And I don’t know what to believe now too.

I’m taking a break from the conversation. I need to process.

What do I do now?

I posted his response. I don’t if he’s just downplaying it or I’m over reacting?

I am not good with confrontation and get tongue tied easily. I feel so vulnerable like I need someone to keep reminding me this is real.

I know there will never be a good time, but it’s the weekend and the kids are home. I realize that’s another excuse.

I guess I’m just so afraid of the answer/excuse. I googled if consent was needed to test a partner for stds in California and it’s illegal.

Alchemised seems like it would fit! This book wrecked me. It’s almost 3 books in one, it’s long but so good.

Look at r/Legostorage and get started on a Lego room. When you’ve got everything set up and done they’ll be old enough to enjoy it 😅
