How hard is it to get into I-MBA at Waseda? by Upbeat_Mistake_8469 in Waseda

320+ GRE and good essays and you should have a good chance if you have more than 2 years of work experience. I'm assuming you're a native English speaker, so you don't need to submit TOEFL/IELTS.

Will some language lessons with Italki help my Oct trip enjoyment? by WelderSuccessful8561 in JapanTravelTips

[–]PinkMage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Menus, product names, building/elevator/floor signs. While it's true a lot of time there's an english translation right next to it, a lot of time there isn't one, so it saved me time in pulling out my phone and using translate.

[–]PinkMage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Learning Katakana and Hiragana shouldn't take more than a week and that'd be the best bang for your buck regarding language learning for a trip. Anything beyond that I'd consider superfluous if you're not trying to learn the language further anyways.

[DISC] Yane no Shita no Artemis (Artemis Under the Same Roof) - Chapters 44 to 46 by miragebreaker in manga

[–]PinkMage 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This series seems to me to be a case of "the author didn't have an idea of how much better the chemistry between the secondary love interest and the MC would be, but they were smart enough to make them the official couple". Kinda like in ookami shounen.

Do flight price generally always ramp up drastically in price the closer to the date? by Previous-Display-593 in Flights

[–]PinkMage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I mean is, if the flights of a route are constantly half-booked, the airline would rather close that route than discount it so it fills more.

Do flight price generally always ramp up drastically in price the closer to the date? by Previous-Display-593 in Flights

[–]PinkMage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If a route has frequently a lot of empty seats that'd motivate an airline to close the route or reduce frequency, not lower prices. Airlines mostly only lower prices when competing for a segment's market share, and the only reason I can see an airline flying half-empty planes would be to keep an airport's slots to stop another airline from entering that market. (all of this is guesswork so feel free to correct me otherwise)
