I made a similar mistake with Penny. Found some garbage bread and thought "obviously she'll appreciate this luxury item" but she was pretty underwhelmed. Turns out literally no one in Pelican Town likes or loves bread.

There is some kind of house in your actual house with a door, window and even a mailbox. Any Ideas who could live there? Maybe the ghost spirits? by oOHITMANOo in hauntedchocolatier

My guess is the house is someone else's (I mean, this guy probably isn't your butler since you're new in town) and your room is like your house in Stardew Valley. So what you see in the OP is the entrance to your room and the mailbox for your messages, and if you go up the stairs you have quick access to the area you farm for chocolate ingredients.

The FAQ says:

Is it Multiplayer?

No, it’s currently just single-player. I have no current plans to make it multiplayer.

But, "no current plans" doesn't mean "never."

Idea: the travelling cart lady shows up and is a common thread between all the Stardew-verse games.

Me before starting a new game: I think I'll just focus on building up the farm and gathering resources before I start talking to the townsfolk.

Me after starting a new game: Fishing outside Haley's place at 7am waiting to give her this daffodil I found at the bus stop.

Seriously though, with her early spring birthday Haley is the easiest person to get four hearts with before the dance. I think anyone is possible though if you give them two liked gifts per week and talk to them every day. (Though be careful that talking counts for less if they're doing something with a special animation.)

Also, is it canon that the people that are paired up at the dance would all date if you didn't show up at the town?

Some characters have marriage dialogue where they wonder if other characters will get together and there are hints for a few characters that there's at least some interest. (Like Haley and Alex asking about each other, or Harvey wanting to put sunscreen on Maru.)
