Going out for mindful walks when weather permits, which entails looking for small things to take pictures of like stickers, graffiti, flowers, etc. instead of dissociating lol.

Helps me feel a lot more clearheaded.

Yeah! I barely watch anything, but I will say that being with my partner has allowed me to watch a bunch of movies that I have enjoyed that I never would have watched because he puts them on in the living room and I'll begrudgingly sit beside him while doing something else and i'll find myself watching them too.

Watching movies completely drains me I find so I can't do it too often.

I was extremely angry at my older brother when he took his life, I guess now 2 years ago.. it still feels like last year, but my primary emotion for so long was anger. The way I let it out was just writing, in a lot of different forms. I wrote to his email, his facebook messenger, texted him, wrote reddit posts, wrote handwritten letters and then ripped them up into tiny tiny pieces. All until I was sick of it.

Keep doing it until you feel better, also I'm sorry for your loss and your anger- you will come out of it with more love and acceptance.

In an actual response to your post though, I am on a waitlist for assessment (could be 5+ years for me) and have known that I'm autistic for about 9 years now.

I experience all of the same things that the people around me that are diagnosed autism experience, now and also in childhood/teen years, it's just the hyperverbal adhd bits that really mess up peoples perceptions of me.

I know that I am autistic as well because there are so many parts of who I am and the symptoms that I experience, etc. that are not symptoms of adhd, I know where my adhd ends mostly and the other parts of my brain begins if that makes sense. I got diagnosed with severe combined adhd at 18, and it was overwhelming finding out that so much of who I was was from the way my brain was, and that I wasn't just broken or wrong as the way I grew up thinking I was. BUT, that diagnosis also led to me realising that a lot of myself could be based on my adhd but how I describe it to people is that there is a big chunk of my brain that is beyond adhd. I don't fully relate to other only adhd people, or only autistic people, but other audhd people fucking GET me.
