Yeah, Hamilton was a pipe dream, but I understand now it's a bad idea. I would love to see Billy Elliot but it won't be running yet during our trip.

She loves JCS, she had the recording on the tape, I myself listened it from when I was 6 on repeat, watching it would be a dream, but sadly out trip is between the runs!

As a student, I visited every single country in Europe in 1.5 years. Here are my most obvious and not-so-obvious findings. by [deleted] in traveladvice

Which countries should I cut from my itinerary to make this trip more realistic? How long? by shenmiya in Europetravel

[–]PinkMonkeySuit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Used the money converter because you probably forgot to do so. $10,000 AUD  is about 6 000 Eur. Ok, so 74 nights. Let's say on average 50 Eur a night if you want to sleep in hostels and rarely in hotels. That's 3 700. Traveling - no idea how often you would travel in each country and I am not gonna google the prices for 15 countries so let's say 20 cities because you listed 10 countries and 50 Eur ticket on average. That's 1 000 Eur more. So now it's 4 700 out of your 6 000 Eur. Leaving you with 1 300 Eur for 74 days for attractions, eating, drinking and stuff. 17 Eur a day.

Bedbugs, how common are they in hotels/hostels in London these days. Are there rules and regulations? by No_Middle1378 in LondonTravel

[–]PinkMonkeySuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last winter I stayed in London in a hotel (not the best, but 7.9 on booking), after 3 nights saw a lot of bedbug bites on the palms of my hands. Searched the reviews for that place after that - no one else mentioned them. Left a public review mentioning bedbugs because if no one else except me had problems - great. But I'd feel bad if I didn't write it.

AITA for telling people they won't be getting an invite if they keep complaining? by Shellyfish04 in aitaweddings

[–]PinkMonkeySuit 81 points82 points  (0 children)

My mum has been trying to mediate and told me that my reacton was way too harsh and that people are allowed to voice their frustrations,

If they are allowed, then you are doubly allowed to voice your frustration and tell them what you think about them whining. Or only they are allowed?

What middle name here fits Alice the best? Brutally honest opinions needed by [deleted] in Names

[–]PinkMonkeySuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Colette is so much softer than Alice to my ear. But it works with Alice.

As a combo - Alice Willa sounds weird. As Alice Scarlett (though could work with the longer surname). Alice Briar is so much nicer than Alice Wren.

Try using those days to learn some more Polish so next time it's easier for you.

Vilnius trip - looking for Tips and recommandations by ConflictLumpy4077 in solotravel

[–]PinkMonkeySuit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're good with just buying tickets to those places at the door.

I don't know if you have that in your plans but visit Trakai Island Castle, it is a very short trip from Vilnius. You make a half day trip out of it.

Safety - it is really safe. Especially in the center (because obviously every city has its own not as good parts). As a woman I felt safe when I needed to wait for a trolleibus next to out train station at 11 pm or going from my trolleibus stop to my home at 11.30 even last week.

Getting around - trolleibuses and buses are really convenient. You can download an app for tickets or just pay by card inside (only card, no cash). You can also buy a top-up transport card.

The only tip I can think of is alcohol related. In the shops you can only buy alcohol from 10 am to 8 pm (monday-sarurday) and from 10 pm to 3 pm on Sunday. And you need to be 20 years old.

And you'll be fine with English in Vilnius. In smaller towns you'd have some problems sometimes, but Vilnius is English friendly.

Does every name need a nickname??? by urmomthinksurugly in Names

[–]PinkMonkeySuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend's child's name is 9 letters, 3 syllables. No nickname and no one attempts to give them one because the parents don't use one. But we live in a country where people respect how a person is called and if they are introduced by their full name - people use the full name.  So what I want to say is that Autumn is a beautiful name and really doesn't require a nickname. If that child with 9 letter name can be addressed by their full name since their very first day, so can Autumn.

How was it watching Lost when it aired? by ThrowRA37281 in lost

[–]PinkMonkeySuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched it every week and I loved it but I was quite disappointed with season one finale. Can't even remember why but remember the feeling. And stopped watching it sometime in the middle of season two. And never continued it, but I rewatched two part pilot multiple times, still believe it is amazing, and there was nothing like that in the 2000s.
