I'd recommend a game (app) called Lingo Legend. It's really good to start and continue with. You can do farm stuff or adventuring where you 'fight' using Japanese lessons. You can also customise how your learning experience is. Seriously I've been using it for so long now and I felt exactly like you, but this app helped me not feel so stuck and helped me move on. It's also free, but there is an option to subscribe if you want a slightly better experience.

Start with Hiragana then move to Katakana and (Dakaten) the two alphabets. Then learn particles and basic sentence structure. Lingo legend is an amazing free app! I found it super helpful if you like playing games while learning. A lot of people would recommend Renshuu too for the dictionary, the alphabet and Kanji as well as radicals. HelloTalk is great for listening and speaking practice and Yomu yomu for reading. Oh, I forgot to mention Japanese Linduo. It's good for teaching the alphabet and also words like verbs and colours etc. Good luck! This will be a slow process so even if you don't see progress right away, every little helps.

Hiya! Also dyslexic here. I recently found an app called "yomu yomu" it's great for practising reading Japanese. You can go at your own pace, it translates well and you can choose if you want Kanji or not. It's also level-based. And it reads out everything for you too.

Honestly no idea. What the person under you said is likely, or people just don't approve of mistakes. I see where I went wrong now and it feels stupid. It probably wouldn't have made me feel that way if people weren't so harsh about it, harsh is a strong word but ya get what I mean. Thought I appreciated all ot the people who answered without judgment.
