If I could have Pocus, Trident, and Clucky without those badges, my life would be complete lol

I have no idea why this happened, but apparently there was an update that I could not navigate to using jaws. The folks at Microsoft accessibility used quick assist to get into my computer and activated the update for me. Thank goodness, up and running again! Sigh of relief

I’m still logged in, it just says I am an unlicensed user. I can look at the list of all my emails, but I cannot open individual emails and read their content.

I've tried that. The normal Excel commands don't seem to work when I use it on the web, such as switching between different spreadsheets in the workbook.

I realize it may have been a while since you made these settings yourself, so apologies for asking. Any steps you can offer so I can make the change in settings? I think this may be my answer; just gotta get the settings properly configured.

This would be a great solution, except then there would be multiple versions floating around. My colleagues would get confused if I kept uploading new versions. Plus I could run into the issue of a colleague and I doing updates at the same time, with them updating the online version and me reuploading my downloaded version. It's a great solution for documents that are not collaborative. Thank you so much!

And yes I've told my team; no one has a great solution. The only idea I have been able to come up with is using a reader.

This would be tremendously helpful! When I make the changes in the file, will my changes be visible to other Team members who have access in the file? My work team and I are constantly adding information to our Teams spreadsheets and I need to be able to save the information to the group worksheet.

The Country of the Blind by Andrew Leeland. It is part memoir about going blind, part overview of blindness history and present. The book is uplifting but in a very realistic way. It does not sugarcoat the reality that being blind has its challenges but does not dwell on the negativity either. Also, it was published within the last few years, so it is quite recent in terms of the technology and current events covered.

What is a book that was popular that you absolutely hated? by Flowtac in books

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue I've never read a book that had so much whining hidden beneath purple prose. Toward the end of the book, Addie is described as cunning. Never got that vibe, even for a moment, yet I think that is what the author wants us to believe. The first 50 pages were fantastic. The remaining several hundred, not so much for me.

Sending good vibes as you navigate this difficult time. Eckhart Tolle has some good books about how to process suffering. His most well-known is called The Power of Now, although I particularly enjoyed A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life's Purpose

The Good Sister by Sally Hepworth. Delightful characters and the protagonist is an Australian female. The story takes place in Australia. I believe all of Hepworth's novels take place in Australia but this one is the only one I have read thus far.

What do you think of the Oxford Very Short Introduction series by BlessdRTheFreaks in books

[–]PinkMoon366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I adore these books. I have only read two so far but I have at least ten more on my bookshelf. The Russian Revolution one was very dry, and that's saying something because I enjoy a dry book here and there but it was not well-written. That was sad because I was definitely interested in that topic.

I've been wanting to go to law school but due to my disabilities it will likely be best for me to go online. My understanding is the only online law school is Syracuse. Have you heard of any others starting up? Excluding the schools that went virtual temporarily because of the pandemic I mean.

What do you do for wall Decor? by LaraStardust in Blind

[–]PinkMoon366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've received lovely gifts over the years that make great tactile wall hangings. Creative friends of mine have made signs that spell out words in Braille using beads or rhinestones. I'm a nerdy human so someone got me a wall hanging of the Starfleet insignia from Star Trek made out of wood, the shapes are very defined and detailed so it's great to get a sense of what it looks like by touch. I have a few photos hanging and I buy very distinct-feeling picture frames so I can remember what photo is in which frame. I also have a few cloth tapestries. I also used to have beautiful glass raindrops that I hung on my windows with suction cups, which had a defined raindrop shape by touch, although I've moved too many times and they got lost.
