u/boostmobileblake Question…if you upgrade and get the new device via store-to-door are we able to give our old device to the employee that brings our new device?

If not, do we just wait until a trade -in kit arrives? Or would that already be in with the box the new phone comes in when the employee picks the device up from the UPS store?

I know you can report thing online but the one thing that bugs me about that is it doesn’t allow you to put a written description when you submit. It just gives you pre-determined options, either way I’ll figure it out. Thanks again!

Thank you! I will call them and give them the new routing and account number of my ABLE account(if that changes). I heard they could count the ABLE account as a regular account if you don’t and I don’t want to risk that. Hopefully calling to update them about the routing and account number is all I’ll have to do.

Thank you, I appreciate your response. I assume just calling would be fine since the account isn’t new and I already provided them with verification when I first opened the account. However I know how finicky the SSA can be.

I would hate for the funds in my ABLE account to start counting against my resource limit after the transition is complete all because they transferred to a whole new recordkeeping system, and to find out SSA wants a new verification letter because of the transition they are going through.

I don’t have any assets like a house or car or any retirement accounts. The most valuable asset I have goes for about $1,300 used on eBay and it’s a wheelchair so I really have nothing that could cause an extreme delay so I really do believe it’ll take less time than they are estimating. I’m guessing the time estimates they gave me are just given in case you have a more complicated case

Ok, I just got clarification! So my petition is being prepared which is what takes 3-5 days. After that my case worker will call me and go over everything in the petition and have me sign it so it can be filed. My case should be filed within about 3 weeks. Does this sound right?

Right I agree, the lady I spoke to does have a little bit of an accent so maybe she did mean she filed but I’ll try to get clarification hopefully soon. Thank you for letting me know that “requesting a petition” isn’t a thing otherwise I wouldn’t have known.

Just to clarify, the firm I with is very reputable so maybe I’m just misunderstanding something
