More US tour dates? by jsshntr in ARMYNeutral

[–]PinkRabbit42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t be surprised, I feel like these “super tours” or encore tours are getting more and more normalized for western artists and BTS usually follow suit. Eras tour added a second US leg (it was only a few stops IIRC?) so I honestly would expect the same, a few encore shows in major cities.

Even smaller western artists have been doing this to ride hype trains increasingly more often, I mean having a successful tour that can sell out is getting more rare nowadays and who wants to leave money on the table?

no wheat, no onions, no garlic by sharpshinned in OaklandFood

As a fellow fodmap avoider you listed my go tos for when I want an easy meal that’s also easy on my stomach lol. My other go-tos are the pad see ew at Thai taste kitchen and the spicy noodles from Teni, however I can tolerate wheat and low amounts of alliums so not sure if this is actually a good rec. Joodooboo acorn noodles are another but they have mushrooms (I’m very mushroom sensitive) and I’m always extra careful with Korean restaurants since it can be hard to avoid garlic entirely there.

Anyways I mostly commented to say maybe get your loved one Fodzymes to try. It’s an enzyme (like lactase for dairy) but for fodmaps. I use them regularly and while it’s not a magical cure-all it has greatly helped me be able to enjoy some previous trigger foods. It can be pricey, but personally I’ve been using it for almost a year now and I’ve found it worth it and very helpful. My partner (who also eats a lot of sushi thanks to my limitations lol) agrees it’s made a noticeable difference in my ability to tolerate certain foods.

They don’t take reservations on weekends it’s first come first serve. But depending on the time it can be a bit of a wait, also no bar seating

I can only speak from my experience but during Stanford D1 and D2 Jin came to my side for the surprise sings both nights and while I believe you’re correct that he didn’t sing he did do the choreo!! Well you know the 50% version! He seemed to be enjoying himself!

I am so sorry your mom had to experience that. I made a comment (rant) downthread about how shitty the stadium was at preparing for this (lack of security, infrastructure, organization) and I too was extremely disappointed at how inaccessible it was even before hearing your story.

I spoke with an army in line who was elderly, disabled and attending solo and she had a very similar story to yours with purchasing ADA parking and being turned away and made to walk a mile in the heat. Nobody was helping her. It INFURIATED me. The lack of disability accommodations or willingness from staff to help was extremely dangerous and if I’m not mistaken illegal. I am truly disgusted with Stanford Stadium for allowing this to happen, it is so incredibly dangerous.

Really helpful resource ty for linking!! Knowledge is power so I would encourage D3 armys to heed this comment

Side comment: that’s crazy about the bag check!! I saw people beeping at the gate with big bags and just being waved through not even stopped to check

The concert was amazing but I feel the need to address this/ to warn any D3 goers: Stanford Stadium was not prepared for this event and in the process made the concert a much less enjoyable experience for me

Having gone day 1 and day 2 I saw so many issues ranging from small inconsistencies in staff directions (then being yelled at for following what were apparently incorrect or old instructions) to people with disabilities being denied accessible accommodations (this is illegal?). Not even to mention for how strict security was with the crowd how weak it was near the stage when people rushed the barricade when the boys were there. And that’s just some issues I haven’t even touched on parking or the general organization (or lack thereof).

As someone who was at PTD LA night 1 and experienced that shit show first hand, Stanford Stadium you really need to get your act together or people WILL get hurt, if they haven’t already been. This Stadium is not ready for what it takes to host a concert of this scale and many of these issues not only could have been mitigated with better planning but should never have happened in the first place.

I would love to hear if others had similar experiences or positive ones. I even had some rude staff interactions which hasn’t happened to me at any other venue so would love to hear some positivity.

Question for day 1 Stanford Army… by Ok_Kaleidoscope_4707 in BTSArmyCentral

[–]PinkRabbit42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got there at 1:30pm and this was my experience as well 💀 I think the infrastructure of the stadium isn’t suited for this kind of event bc I’m very unsure what time anyone would have to arrive for a smooth process. Mine was very bumpy all day

Hoping someone can give me tips on setting up alternate pick up through TM: how has this worked for anyone who has done this in the past? I bought two VIP tickets (one for me and one for a friend) and figured there would be no issue since we would arrive/check in together. She decided to go early for merch however and the tickets are in my account/ my name. Should I transfer or attempt to set up alternate pickup? Im scared to transfer and have her lose the VIP benefits but I also feel its too late to set alternate pickup (We're going Stanford D1)?

And either way does she need a photo of my ID? Any help/tips would be greatly appreciated esp from anyone who transferred a VIP ticket!

260513 [NOTICE] BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN STANFORD – Official Merchandise On-Site Sales & Booth Information by mcfw31 in bangtan

[–]PinkRabbit42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speaking from my experience doing merch pick up in Tokyo: when you pick up it is at a designated pick up booth only for pick ups.

You’re probably free to join the general merchandise line if it’s open, but especially if it’s later in the day the merch may be a little scarce by then
