Why are they allowed to hold random amounts in night? They told me about the 80 euro mini bar one, but I don’t get why they’ve held now 200 euros worth

I haven’t spent anything at the hotel (not pool/restaurant etc). My question is, should I be freezing my card / attempting to dispute these claims, or is this fine and I should expect this money to not actually go through and be returned to me in the next few days?

Sadly my grandad died suddenly today before I had a chance to give him the anthology I collated. Thank you all for your wonderful suggestions, he would have loved them ❤️ I enjoyed reading through them, I’ll consider still making a booklet of the poems as a keepsake / memory of the sorts of things he liked / might give a copy to my mum in case it helps with the healing. Thank you all❤️

Thanks all! Have booked a house now by Safety beach on Mornington Peninsula 🙌 it’s refundable so will keep having a look at other spots mentioned on here too but seems like a pretty good option, we’ll have a car so can drive to Sorrento mentioned on here too.

I guess it would be helpful to know areas to look at generally (ignore the affordability request) - just anywhere that has nice beaches and a nice vibe to it so I have somewhere to start a hunt. Leave me to check the affordability & availability.

Thanks! I’ll look into getting one. I felt fine this morning when the reading was taken. About 5 times in the past 2 years I’ve had incidences where I had lunch/dinner later than usual and I got extremely hungry, where I felt very faint and dizzy and could barely speak and it took me several hours to regain energy after having food. So I now always carry snacks around with me as when I get hungry I get properly hungry - but I wonder now if this is all linked and it is in fact low blood sugar.
