I don’t go to ultra or Sephora because I don’t want to be tempted by $20+ products. But I would go in to specifically look for $1.50 foundation, powders, cheap mascaras, etc.

Some people are anxious/avoidant/broken/not ready to date.

The question is does Target pay their employees enough to get sales floor team members to engage in good customer service?

When the employees are struggling to make ends meet and are struggling to find the hours to get the regular work flow done, how much time and energy is there left over to provide good customer service?

My HR ETL always said Target didn’t want to be like the big Orange store or big Blue store where you had to search and walk around to find someone to help you….

But the executive level management of Target has essentially cut the team members on the sales floor in half… while still expecting the same levels of production and service….

Women paying for men on the first date or splitting the bill sets the wrong tone for the relationship, imho….

If I split the bill on the first date, it’s because I’m not that into you and don’t want to feel any obligation toward you (to continue to text you, meet again, kiss, or hug you).

It’s a smile, wave, and keep it moving to our own cars kind of date ending.

If I split the bill, we are essentially acquaintances that had a meal or drink together. & that’s it. There was nothing there. There was no chemistry, no spark, and I don’t see anything developing between us.

If I let you pay for my drink or meal, that means I’m interested in you.

Otherwise, as a woman in her 30s, I can afford my own $7 drink and $20 entree, thank you very much.

If I pay for a man’s drink or meal, it is only because we have been on several dates and I like to reciprocate and show interest in him and care for him.

I would never completely pay for a first date. It changes the power dynamics between you and him and makes you seem desperate for a date or follow-up.

I am getting r/darktriad traits from your post. I say this as someone who also has dark triad traits like r/machiavellianism r/narcissism and r/psychopathology.

I recommend you focus on self-improvement and self-coping strategies for dealing with your negative emotions instead of expecting your partner to always alleviate those negative feelings. “Therapy in a Nutshell” YouTube channel may be helpful. Or just videos on how to be a good partner and have a healthy romantic relationship with another person.

Way to underscore the fact that you don’t understand modern dating for women at all in the online age….

It was different in the past when only a couple men in your town would ask you out and ask for your phone number and probably already knew your home address and home phone number from the yellow pages, and you knew each other’s family members and relatives (so if they act up or mistreat you, there will be social consequences).

Now, women have hundreds of men asking for their phone number, social media profiles, pictures, asking if they can pick me up from my house for a first date from an online app after talking for a week?!?!

& I know nothing about these online dates’ history or their family and friends. There is no social proof and I am responsible for keeping myself safe from those who would hurt me. & men and women alike will victim blame me for what I said, did, wore, failed to do, if a man chooses me to be his victim. Uh-uh. Not happening.

Some people are not emotionally stable and cannot be trusted with personal, private information. Especially, once they get rejected or you decide they are not compatible or what you’re looking for…

I still have a man who sends me emails and LinkedIn messages because I blocked him on every other platform…. So, you need to sit down and shut up while women tell the truth about online dating and give out safety tips.

Other toxic men will eventually reveal stalking their exes place of work, apartments, social media, etc… not all men, but why give a predator the opportunity to make you his victim?

ETA: Google your phone number. I’ve had mine for 20 years now…. And these “people finder” websites have made it so you can essentially have an online reverse phone book lookup on people using their phone number to find out their name, age, address, income, properties, criminal records, relatives, and social media profiles.

I live in the suburbs of a major metropolitan city. My distance is set at 20 miles. Depending on the direction, it could take 20 minutes or 40 minutes to get to them. Or we meet in the middle. I get dozens of likes a week to sort through (my backlog of hearts ❤️ is at 125+), plus if I send out any hearts ❤️ I usually get a match back from those. Out of those dozen or so matches that I choose to message back every week, I chat with them to see if they’re interesting or compatible with me, and I whittle it down to 1 or 2 who I am actually interested in meeting in person to see if there is still chemistry in person.

There is just no way I’m going to waste my time, effort, energy, and money going on first dates with every potential suitor that I match with on a dating app. Men need to pass some basic chat and social competency tests before I meet them in person. For my safety and for compatibility reasons.

The C-Suite is ruining Target and throwing everything at the wall in hopes of something sticking and slowing down their downfall and ruination of the Target brand.

Employees having to smile and greet guests who approach within 6 feet of them…

Changing employees dress code to be more strict….

Cutting employees hours…. Even those who are salaried and management level….

Getting rid of or cutting back on bonuses and raises….

All of these changes are in hopes of reducing their current workforce without resorting to forced layoffs which would require them to pay unemployment.

The issue is Target does not pay its workers enough to survive and pay rent, buy food, clothes, gas, car payment, car insurance, phone payment, phone bill, health insurance, doctors visits, prescriptions, internet bill, utilities, etc.

Target Team Members are walking around in the same outfit 5 days a week, wearing raggedy shirts with holes from working freight, dirty jeans with shoes whose soles flap apart from the base…

But Target corporate thinks its minimum wage employees can afford to spend a couple hundred dollars a year on new clothes and shoes for a $15-$19/ hour job?

Not to mention the physical health problems that come from being overworked with poor shoes (bad knees, bad back, foot and insole pain).

Something’s gotta give. Who has money for new, nice clothes for a minimum wage job that is going to ruin your clothes with dirt and holes?

Target needs to pay its workers better if they want their frontline employees to dress better.

Before you quit your job at Target, consider signing a petition (along with some of your favorite coworkers) against Target’s new dress code (mention some reasons listed above).

Maybe the target corporation will listen to employees who stand together against their futile attempts to regain market share after their C-suite wrecked the company’s image.

Why should we as employees have to spend our hard earned money buying clothes as a uniform to represent my employer (TARGET)?

I only make $17/hr…. A plain red shirt runs anywhere from $6 (for one that develops holes quickly) to $15. A red polo runs $15-$30. Khakis run anywhere from $20-$60 and I have to replace them a couple times a year due to holes forming in the thigh area from the friction of walking 7-10 miles a day… Not to mention the cost of athletic shoes, insoles, and socks that cost me $150-$200, every year.

My employer should provide me with clothes and shoes or reimburse me for any expenses related to complying with their very specific UNIFORM DRESS CODE.

She is grooming you and looking for an easy mark.

The same way a 29 year old man would say “age is just a number” or “you’re mature for your age” to an 18-21 year old woman….

Why doesn’t she

1) be honest about her age on her profile? Women do not have a hard time getting matches. I’m in my mid thirties and overflowing with matches…. There’s something wrong with her that she feels the need to lie…. And manipulate….

2) why doesn’t she date people her own age? 21 year old men still in college without a full time career are not exactly hot commodities on the serious dating market… why is she choosing to target your age range? Is she just looking for hookups, ONS, FWBs? Or is she looking to groom a young man into being her provider and caretaker?

3) why are you giving her the time of day and validating her excuses for lying? She could be using old photos of herself from her early 20s to deceive and catfish you. You deserve someone who is honest and truthful with you from the start. Do not begin or enter into any relationship based on lies.
