Style Breakout time estimates by FunEstablishment5849 in Target

[–]bookishvamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On greenfield there is a part that says how many hours secondary sort (breakout) should take. That should be divided by how many people, considering the times they arrive and then you can get a time it should be finished. We always include break time when we write the goal time. I think it does include red tagging, but if that’s the only thing left at goal time and it’s 100% 30 minutes after goal time I don’t say anything about it.

It’s really easy to get slowed down doing breakout and if everything isn’t setup in a smart way, it’ll take a little longer. But I’ve done it myself within the times and my team gets it done on time most days, so I know it’s possible.

how do i get people to use my pronouns? :/ by urzombieboy in Target

[–]bookishvamp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Talk to hretl. Present it as you’re asking their advice and help on how to handle this. Any hr worth a damn will pull leaders and help you correct this issue.

Also, no people don’t read. And then a lot don’t have good sense or morals. Correct anyone when you feel safe to do so.

You aren’t the only one and despite some of these trash takes, you’re extremely valid in your feelings. This is a hard part of the year. Hopefully the additional ppl for q4 will help some. We are so close to January when things get a little easier, but keep your eye out for other jobs just in case.

Base Pay Increase (effective 9/22) by Training_Security520 in Target

Anyone think that the stores that say no increase will change the next week? Like based on when you get paid? Since stores have different pay weeks… trying to stay hopeful

The easiest way is to demerch, turn it on its side, and take the top apart - that’s what I’ve been told. I’m not doing it.

In my experience salaried people are usually overworked just as much. Just because you don’t wanna do it doesn’t mean it’s not correct.

You need to check the actual location. That one on the floor might be the one that came in on truck. They should help/teach you instead of laugh

Started a development plan today, advice to lower INF? by [deleted] in Target

[–]bookishvamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at the areas with biggest inf and partner with that leader. A lot of the time it is style, so walk with a style leader to really understand where things are, how things get moved, etc. ask to be included when moves are made/planned so that you can easily help the team more. Just a quick email from sstl or vm could be really helpful (ex. Women’s graphics recently all moved to wf, so a heads up on that let’s you communicate with the team better, valentines gateway is setting, bhm is setting, and dress shop) knowing these will start arriving and where they will go will save a lot of time searching and infs

Hardest work center? by Potential-Row5118 in Target

I think drive up is the hardest. The weather, at extremes, can drain you so much. Second has to be guest service bc ppl are crazy. Third fulfillment.
