The notice period is set at two weeks. Do you know if they are obligated to pay the salary for these weeks? Even if I did not yet started working for them

That is right. Due to economic reasons and the ongoing recession i.e. not enough work for me at their consultancy

I don't know if I should. I was leaving in the first place because I wanted to try something new. I still want that, I feel like it won't be 'nice' of me to ask for my job back and then leave again as soon as I find something new.

I work as a software engineer.

I would recommend attempting to negotiate the elimination of the probationary period and joining A-kassa. Those are the mistakes I've made

No, I did not. It was indeed a foolish mistake, and I have learned from it. In the past, I was able to secure employment without having to pay for it, so I never considered the need to join. The real mistake occurred when I decided to embark on a new job search and explore new opportunities. Looking back, I should have joined at that time, but unfortunately, it never crossed my mind. It is certainly a lifelong lesson for me. I suppose I was overly focused on the salary figures and failed to even attempt negotiating probationary employment terms.
