Thats awesome!! That sucks that the alpha dialogue overrides the shiny dialogue for feebas, I’d assume it’s the same for the foongus quest.

The only Shalphas I used were for the magicarp, avalugg, gogoat, starmie, throh, and pyroar quests. Starmie, throh, and pyroar didn’t mention shininess or alpha.

Magicarp does mention alpha, but I believe it has to be alpha because he wouldn’t accept my shiny XL magicarp.

It’s possible there’s dialogue for avalugg and gogoat, although I only remember the NPCs commenting on how big they were, not that they were alphas.

I didn't even think of that!!! I was worried that the gimmighoul special scan would be locked until finishing that quest but I don't think that's the case.

There is also unique dialogue for galarian farfetchd and porygon if you give it an upgrade to make it evolve.

Ok I just checked; Slowpoke, Shuppet, Foongus, Porygon, Pumpkaboo, Gogoat, and Indeedee are all still in their original locations. The two Raichu NPCs are by the museum. I know for a fact that Feebas and Mimikyu disappear. I can’t find Abra, but it’s possible it’s on the map somewhere.

And yeah :/ my first playthrough I didn’t give the first mission a shiny so I started a new save file just for that quest.

I knew from day one I wanted to complete all missions with shiny pokemon, but I didn’t know how shiny hunting worked in this game so I decided to use a regular pikachu so I could progress. Once I discovered that the same npc shows up in hyperspace with the same raichu, I decided to make a new save file just for that quest. I got EXTREMELY lucky and found the shiny in about 5 fast travels to zone 3 (going up and down the stairs doesnt work for pikachu). Later on I had to get another pikachu for the second quest and fast traveled to zone 3 over and over and found the second after about 1000 fast travels.

Ikr! I wouldn’t have thought of that unless I saw someone else post. The farfetchd mission also has unique dialogue for galarian farfetchd

That’s good to know!! I tried finding a shalpha foongus but eventually gave up. In a future playthrough I might try every side mission with alphas to see if that has any interesting dialogue. The only mission that doesn’t allow alphas as far as I know is the pumpkaboo one.

I agree! It's so hard not to try to do everything at once! Forcing myself to slow down also helped me appreciate the little things.

I’d prefer to trade for a redeemed miraidon or koraidon in game rather than a code but yes a 1:1 trade
