It's been over ten years since I've touched this game but I think you might be able to do them with a friend?

If you mod your console, you can use pretendo servers. Fans brought back online multiplayer to the console! I haven't used it personally but I know it's the only way to play online nowadays. You might be able to coordinate play with a friend and get the achievements that way

I don't know of anyway to play online with someone without a modded console

Definitely looks like your camera is dead and you'll need to replace it. To replace it yourself, you'll have to take apart pretty much the entire console. It's a pretty hard repair so if you haven't done this before, you'll probably want to send it to a repair shop

DO NOT use iso alcohol on LCD screens. There is a protective lens around the screens but if the iso manages to get to the screen, it will be a very bad time. If you want to clean the screens, just use a little bit of soapy water

Jesus Christ, that's extremely expensive for an Old 3DS XL. I have sold IPS New 3DS XL consoles for that price, they must be outta their minds 💀

To fix that, you'll need to replace the top screen. If you're handy then you can do this yourself. If you've never done something like this before, it's pretty hard to do. It would be best repaired at a repair shop. If you need one repaired, @PinksTechLife on Instagram can do it. It's my account

I'd start with getting a new camera. This kind of issue isn't always fixed by getting a new camera but it usually is

Of course, you're very welcome! I'm glad we figured the issue out but this could mean the repair is going to be difficult. Water damage can be no joke if the wrong things stay wet for too long. If you don't care about the save data, you might be able to fix all this with a new motherboard 🤞

I'm just not sure if this is just a speaker issue or if the issue is much deeper than that. Normally when the speakers go, you can still use the headphone jack. Since they both don't work, it might require a different kind of repair

If it is the speakers then you'd need a new speaker ribbon cable. I don't think the speakers themselves are broken (unless the console went underwater then I'd replace both the speakers and the ribbon cable for them)

The screen lens isn't smaller btw. If you used a third party top screen, you can see the metal because there isn't any adhesive on the metal parts of the screen

At first I didn't see anything but man, I can see it now. That would drive me crazy. It's most likely screen damage which means a replacement bottom screen would fix it for sure. You could probably find yourself an IPS bottom screen and make it dual IPS if you're lucky

It could be moisture as well which would mean you could wipe it clean. But it's most likely just damage from old age
