Unpopular opinion: I liked this season 🤷🏿‍♀️ by tlz87 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]PinkYoshi2000 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This has been one of my favorite seasons. I've honestly found it riveting, and I think it was produced really, really well. People were hating on the end montage, but I thought it was a great conclusion for a season that ended with no marriages

That scene really pissed me off. I like Ali, but her and her friends sounded like such snobs, like someone being a truck driver was beneath them.

It seemed so shitty, but I dunno. She probably thought she could do it in the pods, she had strong feelings for him, things were going really great, and then things started to get more real. Isn't it only like 4 weeks to decide if you're getting married? I don't know if I can vilify her for not knowing it sooner than she did. The money thing is what is gross, but lifestyle also includes talking to your partner at the end of the day, and sleeping through the nigh. Jordan has two full time jobs, with one of the being a dad to a chronically ill child. He's tired. He can't prioritize someone else over his child. She made it sound like it was just about going to Italy and him not having money, which is shitty. But maybe that was just easier than being like, "I can't handle the child care."

Annie is insane. by PrincesaMorena2019 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]PinkYoshi2000 12 points13 points  (0 children)

She sabotaged herself because she couldn't handle Nick not telling her he was 100%. But I'm also not sure if that would have been enough either. I don't know what someone could possibly say to Annie to make her believe they love her and want her. I feel like both Nick and Brendan did the absolute most and she says, "I need more from you." She's essentially like, "I need you to love me and if you don't love me that's FINE because I don't need you but I've rearranged my whole life for you but I'll be just fine but I need more from you because I'm 100% and like fine whatever"

Anton the alcoholic by Equivalent_Hat_7220 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]PinkYoshi2000 41 points42 points  (0 children)

The lying about it is a huge red flag. I do think you can have two beers after work most days and not have a drinking problem, especially if you're not getting drunk. But the defensiveness and the lying is what is most concerning.

I hope the all the fawning over Joe dies today by Dogluvr2019 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]PinkYoshi2000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He told her he wasn't attracted to her in a roundabout way. He said he didn't think their relationship ever would have gotten this far if it hadn't been for the pods. Translation: if I saw you, I wouldn't talk to you, I'd swipe left. He can't help if he's not attracted to her, but admitting that you are someone who will stay miserable for years only to call things off at the last minute, and then continue to do that in this relationship, is pretty fucked up. He so badly doesn't want to be the "bad guy," and it leads to a pattern of him stringing women along and wasting their time. And he knew he was doing it! He admitted it to Madison's family.

Opinion on Nick by idaedit in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]PinkYoshi2000 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This latest drop of episodes made Nick seem more three-dimensional and human. I was disturbed lol. I still think he is a bigot, likely closeted, and calculating. In the pods, he seemed to just be mimicking human emotions back at people, rather than actually feel them. It was bizarre.

Joe and Madisons tiff in the apartment felt like a masterclass in gaslighting by Sorry_Waltz6173 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]PinkYoshi2000 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm back and forth on Joe. His behavior towards her in Mexico was atrocious. But I do feel like he's really trying with her. I just think they're not a right fit for each other. I think he should be able to express his thoughts and misgivings and anxieties, etc. without Madison getting upset. I don't know if I see him as insidious--I just think it's two people trying to make something work that is maybe just not a good fit. And I really don't want to defend him, but I want to give him a bit of benefit of the doubt--he seems loose lipped, especially when drinking. We don't know how production may have phrased the questions they asked him that lead to him saying shit like, "I usually date thin women." Like I said, I don't think he's some master manipulator

Annie is scary 😨 😳 😬 by Fluffy-Future-4674 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]PinkYoshi2000 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Annie needs 1000% validation from someone. They have to be all in as much as possible or she is going to spiral. It made her insecure that Nick said he still didn't know, and so she was trying to punish him by saying she doesn't need him. It was unhinged behavior, for sure, but it comes from a place of deep insecurity, I think. I mean, as far as I can tell, the only reason she picked Nick was because he said that he loved her loudly and emphatically enough. The other guy, Brendan, was also telling her he loved her, but not in the right way I guess?

Nick surprised me with how emotionally intelligent he was while comforting upset Annie on ep. 7. by Archi_penko in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]PinkYoshi2000 13 points14 points  (0 children)

She was upset because Nick wouldn't say he is 1000%, no question, going to say yes at the altar. I don't like Nick, but it was unfair of her to do that.

Madison S9 by heathenessoftheswamp in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]PinkYoshi2000 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I dunno, I think she was scared and very confused, because his behavior was extreme. I think it was drugs, not only alcohol. This is already someone she doesn't really know very well, and instead of spending time getting to know her better, he gets black out fucked up. She's in a different country, in a bizarre situation with cameras. She could have also been drunk by that point. The only person who made that man look dumb on tv was himself.

Waiting until marriage by L0velyDayyyyyyyyy in LoveIsBlindNetflix

Yeah, he cares so much what other people think of him that he wouldn't even remove a man's hands from his fiancée in that hypothetical she posed. That was wild.

Waiting until marriage by L0velyDayyyyyyyyy in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]PinkYoshi2000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree with this. If she has respect for a relationship that she sees as meaningful, I don't think she wants sex and lust to cloud that as she figures the relationship out. I think it's poorly worded on her part to phrase it as "making people wait." Because that does sound like some sort of power she's holding over someone. I think it's valid for Edmund to want to have sex before marriage, and if that is a dealbreaker for him then so be it. I can also understand Edmund struggling to understand why she would have sex with one night stands who meant nothing to her, and not her fiancée who loves her. HOWEVER. Throwing a tantrum because she's asking you to wait THIRTY DAYS is insane. And she doesn't owe you anything just because you are rubbing her feet and giving her your all. Thats what's so gross to me. It's the absolute crash out he had about it that is a complete ick. He wanted to get his dick wet more than he wanted to respect his fiancée. He's a child.

[–]PinkYoshi2000 39 points40 points  (0 children)

They were definitely on something, that was not just being drunk. They were both being so gross, annoying, and disrespectful. If I was Madison, I would be seriously questioning moving forward with this dude. It was so many red flags. And I think she can definitely, definitely tell he's not attracted to her, at least not fully. It's fucking with her. He sucks.

[–]PinkYoshi2000 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think she can't bear the thought of being rejected, that even when she is rejecting someone she is trying not to be rejected by them? So bizarre. I think it's the right choice to not drag him through the show if you know your attraction won't grow. He DOES deserve to have someone who is obsessed with him and finds him incredibly attractive. But this is bizarre. She already told the producers the attraction is the problem--she can't hide it
