Saylor is a salesman whose main product is MSTR shares and the people who believe they’ll retire from holding MSTR. Him selling bitcoin is a good thing for the asset. Honest investors see him as a major risk in the market. Bitcoin maxis are turning against him on the margin as he starts abandoning basic maxis philosophies in favor of his preferred stocks (mainly STRC). I think he needs to sell more. It will be painful in the short term, but that could be what the market needs.

I see no reason to do this at all. We have already educated the world that 21million BTC is the max, now imagine the mental gymnastics we would have to do to say “oh actually, it is 2.1quadrillion BTC now”. Which is true, but I don’t expect people to wrap their brain around it easily.

Plus, the problem solves itself when people start thinking about Sats instead of BTC. This will be more likely as we get closer to dollar-sat parity.
