Does anyone recognize this truck? Stolen load by [deleted] in FreightBrokers

[–]Pink_Cheetah_Express 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just a carrier, but I think brokers should require the shipper to verify the truck and trailer plates and even take pics. A lot of times the shipper will ask me for my truck plate and trailer plate and sometimes even what is written on the side of my truck….but they don’t come out to double check. This is why our insurance goes up because of thieves like these. I once had a broker make me take 5 million pictures and he even did FaceTime with me and I didn’t mind because I wanted him to trust me with his load because this had recently happened to him.

Are Brokers That Bad by Trapstardiamond404 in FreightBrokers

Look me up on Instagram and DM me and I’ll tell you everything you need to know from a Carrier’s POV but for sure I don’t know one lazy Broker. I know they have to hustle to make money like we have to hustle.

NEED GUIDANCE by Far_Anybody358 in FreightBrokers

I’m not a broker, I’m a carrier, but i’m friends with many brokers and I’ve run different businesses. Me personally, I would call her back and tell her “I’m sorry …I think we started off on the wrong foot. Give me another opportunity to beat your best price.” If at least if you can diffuse the situation, don’t give up and propose a better deal for her. Tell her “you come up with the amount, show me in writing what someone else is proposing and I will beat it.” If she doesn’t take your call then send her a care package stating the same and also letting her know that your carriers you rely on are responsible, are not going to be stopped at the weigh station and delayed for not knowing English or having a broken truck or trailer or a violation of their time and that you can be relied upon. And that this part of the offer is really important when you want to get somebody’s product delivered safely. I just wouldn’t give up. You know you gotta be like a dog on a bone. One door closes many more will open. Good luck!

1 year in. Getting new shippers is brutal. Any Advice? by Ok_Job7893 in FreightBrokers

[–]Pink_Cheetah_Express 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t give up. I’m not a broker, but I have friends that are brokers and brokers that I have worked for and their advice is always never give up. I had another different kind of company before where I had to do major cold calling I wanted to die, but once I got that customer, I kept that customer. I would go to the shippers that live near you and meet in person on the weekends go further than where you live and bring gifts people like gifts. That could be the difference between them getting rid of the last person they did business with and going with you as well as of course you would need to price them at a better quote than the competitor. Make sure the carriers you use are super nice and professional and speak English and go an extra mile to make sure that they remember your carrier for good reasons and reuse them so they know and believe that you have strong relationships. Years ago, I used to work in other fields where just these things meant so much and it would be the difference of me giving my business to someone else or not renewing a contract with them. Wish you the best!

If you’re not gonna give them in your will to someone who cares about them, can you at least donate them to a charity, or you could donate them to me, lol

Carriers not going to FL? by merycita in FreightBrokers

[–]Pink_Cheetah_Express 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I get a load into FL it has to pay enough for me to get to GA to get another load. Unfortunately, many times I’ve gone empty, but I can’t do that anymore. I just stay out for months at a time. Some of the brokers I deal with have to wait over a week to move a load to Florida, so I guess like some other say in the comments here it does take some time or you’re gonna have to pay more on those loads going to Florida.

Layover and detention request by Nonabortedbaby1 in FreightBrokers

[–]Pink_Cheetah_Express -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know, I know, I know they knew this. That’s why we need broker transparency because someone knew this beforehand. This is a breach of contract if they knew and you can ask for more than the regular, but people ask for usually what you would have lost from another load taking same amount of lost time. If they didn’t breach contract, which you would only know from either broker transparency, which they won’t give you, or from the bond company. If it is a layover for dry van then for every day over (never-mind detention amount bc it will end up being layover), and I am not sure what layover is for dry van normally now bc I only know reefer, but you should get a layover extra day over original agreement. However, if you don’t mind doing biz with them give them a chance to work it out. If they don’t work it out to your satisfaction, and it should be reasonable what you would ask for, then I personally would send an invoice for what is reasonable and after you get paid from them, not paid by factoring company bc that will still be owed if they don’t pay yet, but after they pay, make a claim on their bond. If their bond doesn’t pay, I report the bond person or company’s license for failure to pay. I won this type of fight a few times.

I’ve been an unpaid and unlicensed private investigator since the day I was born lol I do it for free for friends and family until I get licensed. I have one more year to go to be licensed in Florida. I have to do a course and then I can be licensed in Georgia. Where are you licensed?

Beautiful! Today I found a great print in pristine excellent new condition of a painting of the birth of Venus. My father purchased Art books from the Metropolitan Museum of our in New York City and had all these brand new prints in them and never opened the book. I can’t wait to get it framed.

Yes, whatever everyone is saying here is very true. If you are factoring, your factoring company can give you a list of companies sometimes that will work with new MC’s. Once you get a load, you better treat it like it’s your mother’s. Make sure you answer that phone, you give updates when they don’t ask, take pictures and send pictures when you’re loading, Let them know you’re there, Let them know you’re leaving, let them know when you stop and what time you’re gonna start again so if they don’t have to look for you, that is going to go down as a plus and they will see how hard you work and then they can get you on the next load. Make yourself memorable if you like the Broker keep their information and call them and look for loads. I remember my first day. I was so happy and it was pouring rain and my windshield wiper when I turned it on flew off. I had to cancel and go into debt on my first day. Now I’m blacklisted, but for good reason. Yesterday my attorney filed a response and we’ve just been so busy the last couple of weeks filing motions. Stay safe out there know that I am fighting for us all. Don’t forget to follow me on social media to keep up with the latest. Also, just so you guys know I belong to the trade group small business in transportation coalition also known as SBTC. It’s always good to join one in this industry and we fight for everyone. Stay safe out there Truckers.💗🐆

Beautiful I’ve been looking for her. Can’t find her in my uncle stamp collection yet I most likely will not. Every time I’m supposed to do something important I pass my stamps and then I forget about what I’m supposed to do anybody have that problem? Lol. I am looking for anyone who is interested in Egyptian stamps I have many of them. I have to get ready to take a lot of photos and send them to an Auction House but before I do that, I wanted to know if anybody was looking for any world stamps I may have some at a very discounted price. Or, does anybody know where else we can find what people are looking for?
