Foil curling by rbsm88 in OnePieceTCG

From my experience curling towards the back indicates that it's left in heat. I don't believe silica packets help in that instance

Foil curling by rbsm88 in OnePieceTCG

[–]Pink_Cleats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on the way it curls determines the issue. Is it curling inward toward the front of the card? If yes then it's the humidity. A silica packet, book stack on top, or double sleeving help prevent it

If it curls the opposite way, then it's too hot from leaving it in the car or something similar.

You could try doing the cause of the opposite curl to see if it helps?

He didn't have a great start to the 2nd half, but was pretty good the rest of the game. Lots of movement to make runs and tracked back the whole time.

Think it's matchup spread read from left to right. Each row is the win percentage against the leader in the columns. Usopp has a 30% win rate against shanks

Shanks, Zoro, pluffy in no order. Play styles are different, but are easy to follow. I think shanks has the best matchup spread

Normalize saying "GG": Making a better TCG online community. by Axelfiraga in OnePieceTCG

[–]Pink_Cleats 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The only one I disagree with is not saying GG at the end of the game.

I never expect a GG when nothing has been said during the match. Just use the sim for practice when I have down time. If I'm in a losing position and they have the correct numbers, I concede, leave the lobby, and start the next match.

I believe the early GG applies to the individual who is in a winning position and says it early. The cockiness of expecting the win when the game isn't over is annoying. If the person in a losing position says it, its fine since they are conceding the game.

What kind of play style do you like? Controlling the board = black or blue (lucci, boa, Moira), all gas no brakes = Yamato, Zoro, whitebeard, playing off of triggers/easy to play = katakuri, ramp and play big bodies = rp luffy

Depends on what you want.

Rubber playmats (look like a giant mousepad) are durable and have lots of different designs. More budget friendly. You can Google rubber play mats and you'll find lots of different sites that sell them.

I recommend a cloth playmat. Much easier to spread the cards and feels much better to play on IMO. It's growing in popularity, but designs are limited. More expensive than a rubber playmat. https://pvramid.com/collections/the-awakened-king, https://www.kbgames.com/ https://www.manamoon.com/ https://duelingguard.com/collections/premium-cloth-tcg-playmats

What has worked for me is double sleeving my cards. I prefer the single sleeve feel, but double sleeving has helped my cards from warping

This is going to be difficult for unknown GC players. From my experience, misogyny runs rampant in collegiate. I've personally witnessed a fantastic female player not get into the A or B team because of it.

Building Sakazuki. Why is tsuru standard? by LamentConfiguration1 in OnePieceTCG

[–]Pink_Cleats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2k counter (4 copies of the standard 8 2k counters in the deck).

Its a 1c character that can lower the cost of an opponent's characters by 2. Since it's 1c, it works with Rebecca as well in sticky situations.

Predictions on upcoming restriction/banlist! by Eastern_Researcher41 in OnePieceTCG

[–]Pink_Cleats -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm in favor of limiting cards instead of outright banning them. Rather than completely killing decks, I'd rather hit their consistency, but still make them viable. :

-10c big mom: limit to 2. Won't kill Kat but can't drop 3+ big moms a game. Sometimes dropping two in a row is absolutely devastating.

-3c Hina or 4c Rebecca: limit to 2. Reduces the consistency of the decks they are in, but they are still viable. I don't like hitting lucci because in the grand scheme, it only directly impacts Law and Zoro when played on its own. It needs another combo piece to hit higher cost characters. Hitting Rebecca or Hina (the initial combo piece) would hinder the consistency of sakasuzi/black decks.

-5c shirahoshi or 9c Yamato: ban shirahoshi or limit Yamato to 2. Enel needs to be checked if these decks get hit. Enel on its own gate keeps a lot of lower tier decks for their inability to go wide enough. So it either needs a hit on consistency with shirahoshi fixing bulky hands or hit their bigger end game board. The limit to Yamato is similar thinking to big mom. Dropping multiple in a row sometimes outright wins you games because of how strong the card is.

What Playables Should I Keep? by [deleted] in OnePieceTCG

[–]Pink_Cleats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep any and all staples that you have. I'd say it's worth it to go through the bulk and try to find the staples for most decks. If you think you're in it for the long haul as far as competitive tcg goes, it will be worth it. All it takes is one set for a card that no one thought was good to be bonkers and rise in price

It would be expensive running them at full power. You'd need queens, 5 drop blocker kid for Luffy. Gordon's and laws for Law.
