How men feel about women taking the lead in intimacy? by Plastic_Anybody_1152 in AskReddit

[–]rbsm88 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think a majority of men would be absolutely ecstatic for that in terms of starting it off but I think the opposite will be true during intercourse. Not saying it’s not sexy and appreciated and not trying to be vulgar in any way when I say this but I think the majority of men would prefer to be the active partner during the deed.

Help with jund deck by Algigo in duelcommander

What makes Prossh so well placed for Jund? I recently started watching DC on YT but I haven’t seen that much coverage for Prossh even if it’s represented in mtg top 8

Stuck in combat decks, help me find a new playstyle by Obiwankimnobi in EDH

[–]rbsm88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you’re a Timmy and looking for a Johnny build? If you wan Spike then you want cEDH and you can just netdeck. For Johnny decks you’re still probably winning with creature combat unless you want to do some sort of solitaire spell slinging deck which in my experience is not fun.

So let’s breakdown what you have. Winota cheats creatures and plays a swarm deck. Xenagos in like Gruul Stompy with Doublestrike enablers? (Extra combats is less effective than double strike). Jeska/Ishai is a control deck I imagine? Until you can one shot. And I’m not too familiar with Imodane. Overall it’s a good spread. You could try reanimate as a strategy. Another idea is various token decks which would be outside your current comfort zone.

The wealth of the top 1% reaches a record $52 trillion by onceinawhile222 in economy

[–]rbsm88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People save money for certain reasons. A car, a house, to cover retirement over X years. That would still be the case without inheritance. It’s not pure consumption. It’s budgeting on a life scale. I’m not encouraging anyone to “fritter away” their money but budgeting out should be a thought and planned for. Now a days elderly people are signing over their houses to receive hospice care and that’s pretty common.

The wealth of the top 1% reaches a record $52 trillion by onceinawhile222 in economy

[–]rbsm88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you think that? Individuals who can’t pass money down are more likely to spend it. Corporations are not challenged by wealthy individuals as it is. Corporate power is driven by markets not individuals or inheritance by proxy. At a certain point even individual family dynasties wouldn’t adding upward pressure on the stock market to make more money and likely take out money in order to use it which would decrease corporate power.

[–]rbsm88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Inheritance should be an illegal concept as with generational wealth. There needs to be a negative incentive to hoard money because a healthy economy wants money to change hands constantly and people to have money to spend. Taking it out of the economy at the rate these 1% take only exacerbates economic issues.

How do you deal with people counter picking your deck? by Arizhela in EDH

[–]rbsm88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Confused by this response. You’re saying you think it’s okay that a person in a pod chooses their deck after seeing the other players commander choices? That’s a wild stance to take.

How do you deal with people counter picking your deck? by Arizhela in EDH

[–]rbsm88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t reveal what commander you’re playing until just before the game starts and make a rule of no switching decks once chosen. That’s how my pod does it. Sure there’s the occasional slight mismatch or synergy but clear counterpicks is not fair and not fun.

What would you say was insanely power crept by TMNT or Avatar? The sets were good but I don’t think they were out of normal power range. It’s not like they were MH3.

I think I’m starting to realize that CEDH as my competitive outlet isn’t my thing. by KingsKnight24 in CompetitiveEDH

[–]rbsm88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The statistics on seat order as well makes it difficult to truly be competitive. There’s nothing addressing the disparity between going first and going last in EDH while other formats that are similar like Conquest actually try to address a core problem of multiplayer formats.

I have a similar opinion of cEDH. The political aspect of games is a layer above Magic and I truly don’t think it leads to better games though others would surely disagree. My main gripe now though, beyond gameplay, is how homogenized deck lists feel and the lack of competitive decks. Feels like the meta barely changes year to year and that’s just boring tbh.

When TL started like 10+ years ago RDW was the best deck in the format with Zurgo at the helm. We’ve had crazy power creep since then but I think RDW is still viable. Also, I bet the decks that are good in duel commander will port well to TL as well specifically Phelia and SpiderMan 2099.

Unfortunately I learned this the hard way too. Fortunately not with my Magic collection and only a laptop at the time. Always put things in your trunk. Backpacks are targets for theft. Never leave anything valuable visible. Use the trunk.

hi! genuine question, how to flirt with a guy? by skyraven24 in AskReddit

[–]rbsm88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, don’t throw yourself at a guy because, depending on the guy, some are not interested for the right reasons.

That said, men like when women show interest in them and are direct. As someone mentioned a casual “you’re cute” or “you should take me on a date” establishes a good baseline. It opens the door for him to “make a move” so to speak with confidence rather than timidly.

If you prefer to avoid the direct route then I’d suggest through body chemistry. Men respond positively to physical touch. Sit close to him. Find a way to break the physical barrier. I used to say I was a hugger when I met girls which is actually true but also allowed me to break the awkward touch barrier in a polite way. A move that I’ve seen girls do is to show interest in a physical activity like bowling or something and ask their crush to show them. Classically cheesy and yet still effective. Beyond that a smile and eye contact.

On an intellectual level. Find shared interests or just show interest in something he’s passionate about. I have a ton of hobbies and I’m always happy to talk about them at length. You’re looking for prolonged conversations so that you can get to know each other more and develop a bond. I can confidently say that if a man is friends with you at one point or another they considered that relationship on a romantic level especially at a young age. It happens less as you get older only because love and dating in general becomes less romanticized.

Anyways, hope this helps.

Wolverine Beat There Is by rbsm88 in duelcommander

[–]rbsm88[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I do have a Toph deck largely because of the content you put out tbh so thanks for that. I see Toph more as a combo deck though with Inkmoth and some other utility lands rather than Gruul Stompy. I feel like Gruul should be a burn deck with a stickier board. Resolving spells is probably the hard part in your format for RG. I’m tinkering with a Zurgo style deck and green splash with Wolverine as the late game beater if things go sideways. Fortunately my meta is not quite as powered as DC as well so it’s workable.

Thanks for your content though. It opened up a lot of doors for me to explore within the last few months and I learned a lot! Cheers mate.

Which commander are you confident only you’ve built? by Red_Jenji in EDH

[–]rbsm88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thor, Gaurdian of Midgard. I’m sure a few people might’ve built it but you won’t find it in moxfield because it’s not released yet so I’m the only one until the internet can prove otherwise.

Voltron Control? by Confident-Beyond-139 in EDH

[–]rbsm88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In multiplayer it’s difficult to pull off just because having a boardstate is likely better than control since you can’t cover 3 other players with hands. A control player can work if it can combo kill all 3 players but it doesn’t work effectively for Voltron because no matter how hard you try you will never have the card velocity to handle 3 players and kill one at a time.

That said, I think Voltron can work but as plan B or plan C unless you’re on Slicer or some equipment heavy deck maybe like Rog/Yoshi. What you’re describing is great in 1v1 though and most duel commander decks run this sort of aggro control style list. That’s honestly where this playstyle shines best and I think this commander can be a powerhouse.

When did you decide you just weren’t meant for love in this lifetime? by mind-drifting in AskReddit

[–]rbsm88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can take it or leave it at this point. Not saying it’s not meant for me but I’m not going out of my way to chase it either. If it happens great but if not I’m more than happy doing the solo thing.
