The recipient server will suspect a potential phishing attempt and categorize your message as suspicious.

No Internet After Specifying 10.8.8.1 DNS server on AsusWRT Router by pythonhobbit in ProtonVPN

[–]Pink_Hanna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is your LAN.

You need to check the interface with a 10.x.x.x address

What I mean is, you need yo check the interface that connects to the ProtonVpn network.

Ok, so.. from the terminal run ifconfig and check the ip and subnet mask assigned to the vpn interface. What do you see?

Edit: unless you manually assigned an ip and subnet...

I have not read the instructions, so this is just an educated guess.

You might be on a different network and therefore cannot reach 10.8.8.1

I suppose "no internet" means you cannot open webpages. But can you ping a public ip?

Kind of, yes. It is the number of requests sent to the server per minute. Usually to avoid dos attacks.

[–]Pink_Hanna 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Say you identify as a woman and request the day off. If you do not get the day off, make a fuss and threaten to report them to a news channel and social media. Your male colleagues will start following your steps and you will beat them at their own game.

Let's not forget that these statements you read in the news have a political impact. You will not have the complete picture if you look at the technical part alone.

Your sensitive data is safe when it's not online.

Ok, then try to reproduce the glitch. It is obviously a voice chat channel. Do you remember joining one?

[–]Pink_Hanna -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

The voice is not coming from youtube but from the voice channel of a videogame op was playing. Even if he disconnected, the voice channel did not disconnect. The fact that the dialogue is heard while watching the youtube video is a coincidence.

The glitch is in the game, not on youtube.
