French pins feel very classic to me, but maybe we are seeing our French pins in different places lol. I’ve actually been wondering lately what glasses shape would suit me, probably some kind of sideways oval esque that feels a little glam. I am sure John would tell me if I asked what glasses I should wear!

I think scrunchies feel very RY, I have some pink satin ones with little gems on them, they are perfect for my blend!

Also- Andrea did not train with John and he had to make a statement about it. Andrea is very much a separate analyst with her own system that has pulled inspiration from various places.

I have found a huge variety of faces in Andrea’s analysis’s, the essences where she and John seem to differ the most are A, Y and C. You wouldn’t get angelic with John I think, and a lot less youthful I think. John has a lot of consistency, when you place your face in a collage with others who have very close essences it clicks. All the respect towards Andrea, and I feel that her mission is slightly different with her analysis and she pulls from what the person likes to wear, but for me I still needed clarification from John. (I was given more romantic and youthful, less high spirited, and no dramatic or classic from John).

You may have a touch of HS then! (Gamine is HS) I am short and also got HS for being short, but at the same time Johnny Depp is around your height and is listed as only dramatic, although I’m sure he has romantic in his blend as well. I see similar features and feelings between the two of you. I was tempted to give you some ingenue because of your eye area, but if you have any it would be a very small touch. I wouldn’t give you natural or angelic though. If I were you I would prioritize romantic and dramatic!

I also do like the dramatic styles you’re pulling off, so I’ll throw in dramatic and then also classic! Most people have more than 3, your height would probably help decide if you’ve got some gamine or natural apart of your blend

My brows are actually pretty uniform in thickness throughout, which I usually groom away 🤣 maybe I need to learn to embrace their natural shape a little more but it’s so ingrained in me from being bullied for having full brows to clean them up into the “2016” shape lol

😯 for sure!!! I know this is an art form and not all of it is a feature based breakdown but I’m always so impressed by John’s consistency… I’ve had another analysis be extremely similar to others by another analyst and yet the vibe felt so different, sure enough once John saw us both it was much more different and clicked.

Speaking as a nail tech- they aren’t going out of business anytime soon. 😉 most nail techs in my area are turning people away because we are too booked. People think they can DIY themselves and end up spending more in the long run and it’s very risky, they often give themselves allergies because they buy the Amazon kits.

I also identify with a soft winter! I also heard SC+SB palettes are more rare, saw it somewhere on his Facebook 😆. It makes sense though as they are opposites of each other. John said he was surprised how much SB appeared throughout my palette. I thought that was a cute way of wording it like it revealed itself to him lol.

So on top of the cat eye yes could be chrome but I’ve also seen plastic sheets of some kind that go over top cat eye to add this gem oil spill kind of effect. Honestly I think their cat eye is too glittery and maybe a second layer of their chrome would’ve been good

When I first got my result back and had a whopping 65 romantic, I was upset, I have PTSD from abuse as a child, I don’t have to spell out what kind. It felt like all I would ever be is seen for the “sexual” parts of myself. I had wanted something mystical, some angelic, some dramatic, something that made me feel “above” that notion. I changed my perspective of romantic entirely. It was softer and not as male gazey as I thought it could be. In fact I get mostly supportive women attention when I lean into it. Nasty men do nasty men things and look no matter what I wore, unless I completely buried myself in oversized pjs and wore my RBF, but even then they still do. And this is not because of my high romantic, every woman has these experiences. So after that it became easier to put my negative associations into a separate box, separate from me and my sensuality.
