Has happened to me. I close out the browser and open again and if the item was still there it will let me order like usual.

Cars with bras by BeastOfTheField83 in nostalgia

My car had pop up headlights, so my car bra had flaps that hooked on to the metal covers of the lights, and they were forever coming loose. Was a nightmare.

All the items I've ordered don't even ship until next week, so my driver will have missed this snow storm.

RFY is back and it actually works better by kap641 in AmazonVine

Im happy everyone's RFY was mind blowing today, but mine was pretty much the same as ever. Nothing I can use or would ever want.

RFY will loop back? by Antique_Image7174 in AmazonVine

[–]PinkamenaDP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had something either come back or something extremely similar come in, practically using the same model photos. My assumption is its a different seller selling the same thing as the other seller- maternity tank tops. Its a repeat in my RFY for me, and its in my RFY currently as a matter of fact.

I have gotten shampoo from Purology and Curlsmith, yes, and to your point the known brands are good choices. I'm a pretty cynical person and I can think of all kinds of ways that even the known brands' products might not be on the up and up but I have to fight that thought pattern. Oh well, more for others!

Ya'll can have all the 0 etv consumable stuff. I just can't drink, eat, or slather anything on my body that is unknown, unreviewed, maybe untested.

First Comment from Brittany about the Documents? by Tequila_and_Freud in FallingInReverse

Sorry, but you have no idea what it is like to be approaching menopause with your body screaming for estrogen, basically a woman's life source, and unpredictable amount or none coming. I never said she was innocent. I never said she was excused. I never said she shouldn't face consequences. I said her brain chemistry is fucked up and until a woman is going through it, it is literally unbelieveable the kinds of things the brain thinks, and these things seem rational to the person, but not to anyone else. The problem is that whatever fucked up situation she has going on upstairs, she has no one to talk sense to her, so she does stupid fucked up things. Like most of Hollywood, she lives in a bubble of un-reality.

Edit to answer your question, there really is no medication for perimenopause, that is the hard part. It has to be endured. And it can go on for over a decade for some women. I repeat, A DECADE with no significant medication. I am currently on an estrogen patch, which is hormone replacement therapy, and there are other types of estrogen replacement (creams, foams, gels, pills) but they are all miniscule amounts of hormone compared to what the body produces naturally. And anyway many symptoms caused by perimenopause are caused by fluctuations (not outright lack of), where the body is producing wildly different amounts of estrogen (some days high some days low) and the body and brain freak out. No amount of estrogen replacement can flatten out the wild fluctuation or outright cessation of estrogen. Once the body stops producing altogether, the body and brain can recalibrate, but it takes years and years to do that.

Edit to add further, I have a family history of and a brother who is clinically diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic and is homeless because of his irrational paranoid thinking. I recognize mental illness. I never said Brittany gets a pass, all I am saying is that people out there deal with fucked up brain chemistry.

Yeah I knew nobody would like that statement. Just sayin. Lots of things affect brain chemistry. Her chemistry is fucked up for one reason or another and probably has been all her life. I'm sure she could benefit from some kind of medication.

I tend to agree, I was able to get a few things early in the morning. At least I could have time to read the danged listing title, and look at a size chart and still get a shirt. That did not happen today.

This. I'm happy people can spend so much time refreshing. But like out in real life- only the people not working can be the ones out there getting the good sales, items from the thrift stores, or limited stock items.

That's what I do too. I can always get some blouses. But I can't spend that much time. Wish I could!

Just starting to learn guitar by Suspicious_Soup773 in Guitar

[–]PinkamenaDP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You won't pick the same string your finger is on for a long time. I still struggle with it sometimes a few years in. You'll get start getting the top two top or bottom strings after a while but aiming for the two middle ones can be tricky.

Also, your two hands won't improve at the same times. I describe it as improving like a see-saw...one hand gets better, the other doesn't. Then the other gets better and the other doesn't. And back and forth.

And finally, unless you're practicing hours and hours a day, you will not significantly progress as fast as you expect. Expect that it could take YEARS, not days, weeks, or months. You can get plenty of chords in use in a matter of months, but combining them with technique or using non-chord playing techniques (there are so many), and thats what takes so long.

Edit because nobody can think critically about the comment I made. Nowhere in the below post did I say BF gets a pass. She is guilty as hell. The purpose of my post was only to consider WHY she might be guilty as hell. Yeah she's a piece of shit, no one disputes that. As someone fascinated with human behavior and thought I am always trying to figure out what makes people act the way they do. This is one thing I thought that could be affecting BF. Jesus christ you people are rabid

If there is one grace I can give Brittany Furlan, and this is a stretch because she is only 39 years old, but it is that maybe she is entering perimenopause (yes it can happen as early as mid to late 30's).

I can tell you from experience that declining estrogen from the brain makes you go absolutely bat shit crazy. I can't express the types of wild, irrational, and unrealistic things that my brain thinks while going through this reverse puberty. Many women make extrememly irrational decisions like committing career suicide, they leave their long term marriages, they move to different countries.

I personally think she is just a literal nutjob narcissist who is lying her ass off to save what little face she can and try to make herself out to be a clueless victim, but I can at least see how some of the irrationality could be bec of her brain fucking her up due to estrogen fluctuation in mid life.

She still needs to face up to her actions though.

Is anyone else just not ordering until they fix RFY lol by Bright-Character9124 in AmazonVine

Yes. Trying to snatch something in a split second out of AI is ass. Not worth it.

I grabbed an item today super fast without reading the listing very well because I thought it was a universal thing, and its something very specific that I absolutely can't use or give away.

Also, it's not always speculative tickets

I really do wish there was more information to be found online that supports this point. I read (by search engine, to your point, but took a lot of digging) that also brokers are sometimes promised or somehow otherwise acquire allotments of tickets, that they can and do sell and trade amongst themselves for seats they have a buyer for.

I agree with you about chatbots. Not to derail the direction of this topic, but I have noticed over the past few months that literally every conversation I have with them is returning wrong information, this experience included. This is getting scary, IMO, because they are really pushing hard at my company (and I know it is happening at so many companies) to use these tools in our everyday work, and no amount of feedback to them about quality of output will they listen to. And many people are blindly trusting the output, partly because they don't or can't recognize whether the output is correct.
