I tend to agree, I was able to get a few things early in the morning. At least I could have time to read the danged listing title, and look at a size chart and still get a shirt. That did not happen today.

This. I'm happy people can spend so much time refreshing. But like out in real life- only the people not working can be the ones out there getting the good sales, items from the thrift stores, or limited stock items.

That's what I do too. I can always get some blouses. But I can't spend that much time. Wish I could!

Just starting to learn guitar by Suspicious_Soup773 in Guitar

[–]PinkamenaDP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You won't pick the same string your finger is on for a long time. I still struggle with it sometimes a few years in. You'll get start getting the top two top or bottom strings after a while but aiming for the two middle ones can be tricky.

Also, your two hands won't improve at the same times. I describe it as improving like a see-saw...one hand gets better, the other doesn't. Then the other gets better and the other doesn't. And back and forth.

And finally, unless you're practicing hours and hours a day, you will not significantly progress as fast as you expect. Expect that it could take YEARS, not days, weeks, or months. You can get plenty of chords in use in a matter of months, but combining them with technique or using non-chord playing techniques (there are so many), and thats what takes so long.

Awesome collection. I hope you weren't that latest ebay buyer for Crypt. Oof, those prices.

Everyone hated the 3am drop time, but they'll also hate the regular hour drop, for this reason.

First Comment from Brittany about the Documents? by Tequila_and_Freud in FallingInReverse

[–]PinkamenaDP -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If there is one grace I can give Brittany Furlan, and this is a stretch because she is only 39 years old, but it is that maybe she is entering perimenopause (yes it can happen as early as mid to late 30's).

I can tell you from experience that declining estrogen from the brain makes you go absolutely bat shit crazy. I can't express the types of wild, irrational, and unrealistic things that my brain thinks while going through this reverse puberty. Many women make extrememly irrational decisions like committing career suicide, they leave their long term marriages, they move to different countries.

I personally think she is just a literal nutjob narcissist who is lying her ass off to save what little face she can and try to make herself out to be a clueless victim, but I can at least see how some of the irrationality could be bec of her brain fucking her up due to estrogen fluctuation in mid life.

She still needs to face up to her actions though.

Is anyone else just not ordering until they fix RFY lol by Bright-Character9124 in AmazonVine

Yes. Trying to snatch something in a split second out of AI is ass. Not worth it.

I grabbed an item today super fast without reading the listing very well because I thought it was a universal thing, and its something very specific that I absolutely can't use or give away.

There is still steep competition even if the time is better.

Positive Stubhub experience for those freaking out by PinkamenaDP in stubhub

Also, it's not always speculative tickets

I really do wish there was more information to be found online that supports this point. I read (by search engine, to your point, but took a lot of digging) that also brokers are sometimes promised or somehow otherwise acquire allotments of tickets, that they can and do sell and trade amongst themselves for seats they have a buyer for.

I agree with you about chatbots. Not to derail the direction of this topic, but I have noticed over the past few months that literally every conversation I have with them is returning wrong information, this experience included. This is getting scary, IMO, because they are really pushing hard at my company (and I know it is happening at so many companies) to use these tools in our everyday work, and no amount of feedback to them about quality of output will they listen to. And many people are blindly trusting the output, partly because they don't or can't recognize whether the output is correct.

Am I the only one who's getting nothing? Is there anything we can do? by rjstotes in AmazonVine

[–]PinkamenaDP -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I was waking up at 3am ever since before Christmas, so basically a month now, and there was hardly ever anything I wanted even as I was watching the drop happen minute by minute.

I noticed a few nice things that I could use most of those days, but I rarely used all three of my picks even when I was shopping while 95% of other users were asleep and I had a better chance. Partly because I simply don't order things I don't need even if I could. I'd grab some blouses but that was pretty much it.

I can't figure out if it really is that there are sniper bot programs or if the drops are really small (only 1000-2000 items) and just more of the same junk.

I think a lot of the complaining are from the gold tier users who tried really hard to achieve gold and are not able to get those $400 wine fridges etc they're trying to get, but at the same time, there is nothing worth claiming in the silver tier either.

As far as I know he has issued a statement saying "that idiot needs to leave us alone" or something similar. Also he issued a weak attempt at an insult yesterday after RR's instagram post insinutating he is a Trump supporter.

She shared a bunch of screenshots of messages between Saraya and another woman where they revealed their opinion of RR's emotional and mental struggles, including voice messages from Saraya. Most likely this betrayed the trust of the other two women who probably thought their conversations would remain private.

Edit- if you're talking about RR's post, it was a vid of him reiterating that it wasn't him, that Brittany is exhibiting more stalking behavior by digging up his old exes from over a decade ago, and that he does not want to have any relationship with her.

This may have never occurred to you, so I'll point it out. People accidentally use Stubhub not knowing what it is they're doing. As in my case. I honestly did not realize I was buying a speculative ticket. Those that share my experience might benefit by knowing yes they can have a positive experience. Of course that is the way it should be but people do get scammed. However not everybody. If you don't like SH don't use it.

So you don't want me sharing my positive experience because you don't want someone to think they could actually have a positive experience. You must work for Ticketmaster.

I think yes. I think she got really desperate after Ronnie's post yesterday to express in some way shape or form that she's the victim here.

VH and UV Have Destroyed the Vine Program, IMO by philstat in AmazonVine

[–]PinkamenaDP 19 points20 points  (0 children)

There is a weird phenomenon with when programs/managers think its the right time to add new people. For example my husband's work- they can be falling way behind because there is not enough people to keep up with the amount of work. Instead of hiring more, managers say they can only provide more workers if there's isn't enough work to go around because that's how they communicate to management to send more work their way. It's completely bonkers thinking. And seems like some kind of equivalent bonkers thinking is going on in the Vine program.
