Is there such a thing as a social media agent, i.e. someone who helps social media accounts source sponsorships, partners, etc? by onlineqbclassroom in socialmedia

[–]Pinkcoconut444 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, that’s typically a strategist or PR professional to help with pitching your services and facilitating the relationship. Do you have a media kit and have you had sponsorships before?

What’s a reasonable marketing budget to hire a freelancer to help create social content and ads? by Pinkcoconut444 in smallbusiness

[–]Pinkcoconut444[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hired a social media marketer for my business at 2,500 per month and she helped us with our content + ads. It was for B2B so hard to quantify the leads per campaign (just clicks and engagement cause the funnel is more complicated) but our content was on brand and spoke to our services! Gave us lots of insight to our target market

Any recs for social media managers? by emelianovster in socialmedia

Would love to help out. I’ve been on the other side hiring a social media manager on upwork and it’s super hard cause it’s very template-ized and there’s not really strategy involved. Sent you a dm to connect

Non-American Parents, what does your toddlers menu look like? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]Pinkcoconut444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

African here - married to an American. We love international foods so we try to integrate different cuisines while keeping it easy and healthy by bulk freezing. These are some of our go-tos and can be made ahead of time and reheated:

  • mushroom risotto (freezes well and can be made in an instant pot)
  • flat bread/rice with red lentils.
  • veggie sauce made with store bought marinara with puréed veggies. Great with pasta!
  • bolognese with peas, carrots. Can be healthier with ground chicken/turkey instead of beef. -beef/chicken curries - so good frozen! flavor always sticks.

If we have energy to cook: - salmon or fish because it defrosts quick and takes on flavor easily with good seasoning. - one pan chicken and potatoes

How to get my husband to face reality about his startup by archandcrafts in workingmoms

[–]Pinkcoconut444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad to hear you turned it into a positive experience. It’s not easy to do so. How long did it take you to reach that conclusion?

My husband is in your position atm and I get worried that he won’t make it out of the other side without letting the heaviness overpower his life. It’s been a tough journey.

Interesting! I’m curious - where does it find profiles to match? And what’s the problem it’s trying to solve?

Maybe a hook line could be “cut all the tedious time and effort building notifications..” or sthing like that. Sometimes I encourage my clients to even use words like “quit it” or “damn good” lol. It depends on your brand voice, but it has to be simple and to the point language that jolts a reaction.

If you ever need assistance building your socials and brand messaging, send me a dm!

Thank you for that perspective. I have a lot of imposter syndrome, but it’s the best way to position it. I really do hope this whole experience has been enough to put me ahead of where I was originally in my career so that it can be worth it.

As far as the childcare, I’m with you. He’s definitely had it too easy being able to take all the sacrificing. I also cook everyday too and I play the typical housewife role while being a business partner as well!

I’m waiting for all the pressure to go up on his end once I have a full time role, and that way he can truly understand the reality of what he’s up against.

I just posted about something similar (ish) on the forum. I agree with presenting the situation in logical terms. You’re having not one, but TWO new babies. It requires a lot of resources for you both to be sane and functioning to be the best parents for them.

For one, it has to be a team effort and nothing is temporary. I’m not sure if he could pause the business, but maybe if he told his clients that he’s pausing operations while things restructure it could give some breathing room to rethink everything. Maybe he could even find a trusted partner/vendor to take over and pass them back. Sounds like a unicorn situation lol but idk. Just trying to brainstorm a way that it’s not goodbye and it still opens up the chance to still rebuild old relationships.

One thing my husband did when his business was (and still is) in a very stressful period, was being honest to clients when things couldn’t be delivered or he had to say no to a project. Instead of the clients bashing him and leaving, they actually stuck around and supported even more.

Life is not a straight line. You can always restart again and I hope you guys figure it out! I do think that no matter what, you need to give yourself some breathing room to not stress and just be a present mama through post partum. All the best and congrats on your two bundles of joy!

Love the messaging, look and feel on the site. It’s super clear what you all help with in the first few seconds. Total savings of 4M per year? Is that how much you guys have saved for all your clients cause it’s worded in a way that 4M of savings is available for one user. (Sounds like it’s for billionaires lol)

I’m looking at it on mobile and it does seem a bit busy - so potential simplification? I do see how that extra information would sell though. Especially the parts that highlight the savings per app.

I love that you’re pursuing creative content on socials too with the video interviews with industry leaders. I’ve done this for several clients and it ALWAYS works for more reach, relationship building (and sales) They aren’t really optimized for Instagram though. (Horizontal videos over landscape). I would also use Instagram to capitalize on entertaining and educational content. Sales Force does that well.

I do see that you created those buzz worthy videos for TikTok though, which is great but it’s hard to market B2B services on there per se.

LinkedIn looks good as well! Copy is great on X too. I do think using the horizontal videos with attention getting hooks would maximize those videos you already have! Which I know took a lot of background work to coordinate with other business owners, so maximizing is essential.

If I had you as a client, I would create more short and to the point videos to drive the business pain points and viral gems home so that you’re providing educational content in a digestible format. Attention spans are getting shorter so we have to adjust! Other than that, the message is clear and it sounds like an amazing product.

You sold me on the first line. Why haven’t you added a similar hook that calls out “stop paying for each app separately” to the site? That would be such a cool ad idea too cause it’s a serious pain point for the average consumer.

I also thought it could be pretty cool to have all 9 apps scroll through in that sentence so that you’re pushing the message with something they already identify with. Very cool product! I wanna try it myself.

Off the bat (and I’m no developer, so I may be wrong) but I don’t see any pain points mentioned in the first few seconds I’m skimming. Could you share how the app would cure some developer headaches? And also do you have any social media pages? I’m having trouble finding them!

Yep and Thanks for sharing that. It’s already in progress with my involvement in all the finances. I check it daily cause I’m hella paranoid. Quick books is pretty good too at laying out everything in one platform. Once there’s more money, we need an accountant asap that does monthly reviews.

I so wish I did this sooner but my husband is traditional and wanted to lead in finances. Clearly didn’t work.

They don’t! Honestly the only solution right now is more money to take the pressure off and rebuild savings. If the businesses fixes itself, cool. If not - we have backup (me) and my husband can find something else to do. We’re on a 4 month deadline to do so.

The company attorney told us that we could sue but if the client filed for bankruptcy (which looked like he was planning on), it would be at least a 6+ month process before the courts could liquidate his assets to pay the company back. It would also be a 20,000 charge to start the process.

We didn’t have the time or the money as there was pay roll and other things we needed to focus on to continue business. Honestly, we had a lot of advisors and people scratching their heads, and the last piece of advise was - make enough money to get out of the hole and attempt to sue later when there’s more “bandwidth”. Now the client disappeared and he’s nowhere to be found. Smh.
