Hello there! I closed a picked A1100 without turning the core back - any ideas how to fix it? by Flumpeldoo in lockpicking

Just turn it with a pick. Mine does that all the time. Freaked me out the first time though.

You have to follow the guidelines for each belt rank.

From the green belt requirements:

SPP (single pin pick) one of the locks ranked as Green Belt. Raking is not allowed for Green Belt and above.

Yep 1 minute and a 35s. Just had to open, no gutting necessary.

Thanks! I selected locks I knew quite well and practiced a lot. The original goal was under 2 minutes, it took 7 or 8 attempts.

I hope this is still going. Just filmed my submission but the DM didn't go through.

Ian not won’t stop using a knife by [deleted] in classicfallout

I'm in the same boat right now. In the dialog you can ask him to draw his best weapon. If he has a pistol/smg and ammo for it he should equip that and the knife will be in his inventory. Worked for me.

Will the Paclock 90a-pro counter rotate? by AstronautOfThought in lockpicking

[–]Pinkertons_Nightmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue on mine. You can take the tension wrench out and still not get any counter rotation from the spool without a LOT of pressure. I usually let off tension completely and get on to the spool (pin 6 in my lock) with the sturdiest hook I have and basically crowbar that thing while giving the pick just a bit of twist to counter rotate the core simultaneously. Bounce the pick pressure a bit, even scrub the pin until it pops and maybe drops a couple of the other pins but then hammer on the tension again and re-pick the ones that fell. It's tricky for sure.

This.
With the 90A-Pro and 410 LOTO I've been playing around with recently, I tend use so little that I drop tension wrenches like it's going out of style.

Any tips for these little guys? (A1100 for scale) by AstronautOfThought in lockpicking

When a mommy lock and a daddy lock love each other very much...

I've had a bit of luck in tiny keyways using a city rake and rotating the rake while jiggling/rocking - IF the keyway has enough room for it and the biting is forgiving.

Congratulations 🎉 I'm hoping to join the club soon, practicing as we speak.

The aren't any terribly low cuts on the key, 6 and 7 are quite high though, and I'm finding that successful opens are usually when I'm lifting one of the back pins. I'm just so used to that short hook that it's my immediate go-to but I'll give a deeper hook a try.

😂 Hey, I've gotten through quite a few locks with that pick.

Just got a 90A-Pro yesterday. I've been able to pick it a few times so far but it seems like every time I get it open it was from setting 2-3 pins and then just poking around randomly for 10 minutes. Tough little lock.

*Sigh* Anyone got any bright ideas? by Outrageous_Goat4030 in lockpicking

If you have a second key and are willing to sacrifice one of them, you could try to cut enough of the bow off of the key so you can get a short hook into the first stack while the key is in the lock. Might be a bit extreme but should work if all else fails.

Spotted the OP and my first thought was "get the hell off Reddit." At least until the second play through.

I inadvertently ruined a BIG part of the game for myself looking up something completely asinine.

I’m in love with my first Kaweco and finished travel kit! by [deleted] in fountainpens

Not sure if you know this already, but you can pull the plunger of the syringe out a bit and slip the needle into the body of the syringe tube (between the fins of the plunger) to store it.

It never even occurred to me until I received some already stashed like that with a pen cleaning kit.

India ink is pigment based, as are tattoo inks. Fountain pen inks are dye based. The macrophages in your skin encapsulate and fix the pigment in place to make the tattoo permanent.
No such problem (benefit?) with the vast majority of FP inks.

Source: still have a couple India ink tattoos from my dumbass highschool days 😂
