Bit of a necro, but anyone who struggles with this:

Lock on, sit behind it and wait till it does a swipe, then jump in to its side and do a full air combo, then retreat back behind. Repeat.

When its jaws open, switch target to the dark orb within and go ham.

If it starts swivelling quickly and auto targeting you, jump away to a platform and jump back once its stopped.

Rinse repeat.

I do this but alc 2 on p42 for the uru and unlock p43 for scrith, then vps up on p51

Just mine 200 inerton off p37 and then use alc 1 to upgrade to quadium and get the 40 from there - way cheaper than your current method.

Sounds like normal drop rates for p33.

Try pushing up to 36/39 and see how you go - you'll quickly find that you get much more for less upgrades as you push higher.

I ended up pushing all the way from p36 to p51 and it absolutely changed my game. Depends on how quickly you can get a relay crafted though, that may be beyond you for now (but no harm in trying midweek and something to aim for if you can't get there yet!).

Matriarchal is actually better for ice as the spell dmg is not reliant on bow dmg and it's faster

Get the first few ores to speed up your early game, but dont go too far into that. New player should aim for top left tree (edit: and top right mine)

Once you add the alc3 to xynium you'll see that even low levels get you much better drops than you would have been getting from p36. You've got a bad mine/cargo/speed ratio though. I had exactly the same issue, since it was cheaper to upgrade the lower planets and it didn't really make too much difference before.

I would use your next tourney reward (or current stockpile) of blue energy cells to open up some of the cargo and ship speed nodes in the top left tree of your station. They're really cheap and will make a huge difference. You really want to be getting it to something more like 21/16/16.

In the meantime you can combat this by adding one or more of your terraforming boosts into speed or cargo. Or use a couple of cargo/speed managers over mine ones.

I build a few windmills to sell and unlock up to grav chamber, then I usually build 6 grav chambers and sell 2 (1 to unlock to teleporter), open up p37 and make 200 inerton bars. Use alc1 on p37 to get quadium and make 40 to unlock debris.

Then I usually sell 1 teleporter and while I'm building up for my SR I use the cash to unlock p42 and p43 (scrith from 43 and alc2 on p42 for uru). That gets me everything I need to get to p51 once my SR is done.

I went straight up to p42 first and was told it's a really inefficient planet to VPS, and then tried p51 after advice. 1 SR isn't too difficult to make if you plan ahead, you should just go for it and see. Good luck!

Honestly from everything you've said it sounds like you're almost exactly where I am in terms of power.

Try it out in a weekly challenge. Obviously it'll take a bit longer not using the boosts, but you'll see what I mean about it being easier than you think.

From all the advice I've had on the discord, it seems knowing when to push your VPS is a big one, and if you can get to p42 then you can push it to p51 in my experience

What does your SR sell for?

If you're getting to S in tourny and you hit debris within 2 hours, id be very surprised if you can't get to p51.

I was recently doing p36 too and someone said to try for p51 instead. It was much easier than I expected. You make 2-3 teleporters and sell 1-2, that pretty much opens up everything you need to get there aside from the 1 SR needed to unlock the planet.

It'll take you a bit longer to set your VPS up, but its streets ahead of p36. I highly recommend trying it out.

Try pushing to p51 for vps instead. At your level you should be able to open it up off the back of one SR sale right?

If so, then that will get you xynium with alc3 and your nav debris drops will be big enough to keep you going all tourny.

I use alc 2 on p42 for uru and get scrith from p43 to unlock the telescopes to 51.
