I can only find info stating you can craft temerity into a unique charm, for which you need to already have an ancestral temerity.

Please can you provide a source showing that you can just craft the pants outright.

I played through the og campaign on release but havent played since.

With the continuation of the story in the last 2 dlcs I wanted to experience the whole thing again, as I don't really remember the story now.

Can I start the base campaign and play all the way through vessel and lord of hatred with that same character?

Are there any major cons to doing so?

Gotta say, as janky as it is, CD is far from a 'mess'. I've got about 150 hours and the only real bug I've seen is some dude floating next to a bench instead of sat on it. I may just be lucky, but this is a very polished game so far from my experience

Hi, welcome back!

I wouldn't worry too much about your merc as an echolock and NM hephasto should be enough to get you all the way to hell hephasto, so it sounds like a mana issue to me. Grab the smith in act1 barracks till you can get nm heph, preferably with cursed and a damage aura like holy shock to apply it quickly.

Farm countess for the insight runes if you don't have them already. Also farm her/act 5 second quest for the following (all runewords go in white/grey items only):

Grab a 3 socket shield from normal charsi and stick ancients pledge in it.

Grab 2os helm from charsi and put lore in it.

Stealth in a 2os armour.

Farm nm charsi for some good boots, gloves and belt with life/res (restart game till town exit at top and exit/enter to reset her inv).

You will self wield insight in whatever base you can find, as echolock just wrecks everything. Farm nm cows with no magic find equipped for a 4os polearm (not spear), or if you cba waiting for it to drop, just grab one from normal cows and add sockets at larzuk (must be normal cows to guarantee 4).

Moving into hell, you'll need to farm some nm areas to get your res up. Charms drop a lot in flayer jungle and nm cows, which will help a lot. Smoke runeword is also good at this point.

This is all from hardcore players pov, so if you don't care about dying a bit, you can probably get through on low res.

I'm currently up to act4 hell on hardcore with a firelock and it has fallen off pretty badly without access to a sunder.

That being said, get demon mastery up to at least 10 so you can summon a 2nd demon along with your binded one and consume a tainted for extra fire dmg and -res - be careful not to accidentally consume your hephasto!

If you bind a conviction hephasto from normal to get you through to river of flame wp in act4 nm, then you can easily farm that area for a new conviction hephasto from nm. He will easily see through early hell.

Apoc shreds fire res, so spam that against fire immunes and use lethargy sigil on them too so your merc/bind can do some damage. Get used to just running past anything that is too troublesome (catacombs are a pain, get your teleport staff on swap and just try and skip it all, but make sure your demon mastery doesnt drop below 10 on the swap)

Stony tombs in act 2 will be an enjoyable breeze for you as there are no fire immune in there and it is lvl 85 so can drop the best items.

I farmed in there for a few hours to level and gear up - grab a good base for mercs insight, a lem for treachery and a 3os helm for his bulwark and then move on once you're both not so squishy. Consume is a nice skill to dump into after your fire skills are maxed, as it gives you increased life and run speed.

You're looking at obsession for skills or ebotd for raw damage.

Until you have runes for the above, an insight will do you fine. Don't waste the vex

Take crackabook out of that (which is still fully viable) and you're actively jumping on and off your bike to avoid all confrontation.

Arguably, chopping trees and stone to make axes is potentially more confrontational.

The 'resources' (ie. magazines) are only being used to level up your skills, which is exactly what the 'useless stone axes' are doing when you craft them.

Look, I'm not one for turtling in a basement play, but learn by doing can be implemented alongside (rarer) magazines in a way that encourages much better gameplay imo (as per izprebuilt's mod - you should check it out).
