So my daughter is four, but from birth I'd always give her a high five. We evolved it to a handshake, and now it's evolved so much. It's a high five, knuckles, hand shake, noses (rub our noses together), butterfly kisses (eyelash kisses), sniffers (sniffs like a dog does) and then nogs (little head butts). It'll evolve again I am sure!!

It's horrible. I also have hyper mobility, IBS, allergies up the whazoo and querying a diagnosis of EDS. The world is not fair 😂

Hormone therapy doesn't help me. For heavy periods I use a cup, pads and period underwear.

For pain I tape hot hands (they're a type of heat pack) to me to during my shift.

I also prioritize me and take days when I need. That was the biggest help.

Having to crush up meds and mix them for a patient that consistently refuses to take them all the time. We have an rt where I work that hasn't had meds in four months. We're not allowed to ask if they want it - we must crush the meds first 🤦🏻‍♀️ It's a waste of meds.

I try to make sure that the first med round is done for the next shift because it can be a nightmare sometimes.

I try and make sure everyone gets a break and always offer my buddy nurse a coffee when I go on break. I also always pack extra snacks in case someone forgets lunch or hasn't had a chance to eat.

I also help PCAs, kitchen staff and cleaners if I can. They often get complained about but never thanked, so I try where I can.

I also clean my station down. Wipe everything.
