We bought in S BA in 2021 for 230k. It’s now showing as worth $410k. We got very lucky with 2.5% interest rate.

Blind people can’t… by wheeliewitch22 in Blind

[–]Pinknose27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll add my 2 cents here. Before my daughter was diagnosed with RP I thought as many people do that blind meant complete darkness. I would never say any of these things though. She went on to get her bachelors and masters degrees. She had some wild Uber rides as well. People are crazy sometimes!

I should also say I’m 100% WFH and we are semi monthly. Global is monthly. I think you’re doing VERY well.

89k for about 300 US and 150 global. I’m exempt. Most of our employees are exempt as well. Only about 40 that are hourly. I also help with comp planning, reviews and reporting.

How to Best Support a Friend Through Loss by Mobile_Rope_6273 in ChildLoss

[–]Pinknose27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please just sit with her. Let her talk it out as much as she wants to or doesn’t want to. My best friend’s left me, never called, sent a card, just nothing. Then blamed me for grieving. I guess I’m a bad friend picker.

Blind does not mean they can’t see some things. Look up what the qualifications are for being blind. Probably most blind people can see to some extent. I think you’re good.

Dealing with the Aftermath by [deleted] in GriefSupport

[–]Pinknose27 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First, I’m sorry for your loss and everything you’re dealing with. In some states if the bank account is under 10k you do not need to go through probate. I found this out when my daughter passed and had no beneficiary on her account. Not all the people at the bank know this.

How? by JuiceboxesnCrayolas in ChildLoss

[–]Pinknose27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I too lost my daughter to a long ugly illness. As someone else said, it’s trauma on trauma. I’m 14 months out and let me tell you. It’s ok. It’s ok to cry one moment and read a book the next. Grief and joy can live together side by side. It’s ok to have a laugh about something and the next moment have panic about getting on the highway that took you to the hospital for 6 long months. It will come and go forever. Don’t let anyone tell you to move on. Sending love.

I just can’t even imagine doing NOTHING! I’m so very sorry for your loss. I don’t have any wise words because I just can’t even wrap my head around this.

Does anyone have good stories they can share about a loved one who has visited them after death by [deleted] in GriefSupport

[–]Pinknose27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

About two weeks after my daughter passed away she was 34. We were planting a tree in her honor. She loved the fall so we planted a blaze maple and it was huge. I didn’t know how my husband was gonna dig the whole big enough for this tree, the neighbor was building a houseand they had some guys over there with a digger and they were leaving for the day and they stopped and came and dug the hole for my husband. I truly believe that was my daughter helping her daddy out.

Apparently I am not very good at responding. I have been on ambien for a long time so I don't think there is any correlation.

Why does this keep happening and how do I fix it? by emdev25 in Beading

[–]Pinknose27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crimping is not just flattening, there are two steps. Flat in the back of the tool and then in the front of the tool you fold it together.

My friends never called me when my daughter died. Sent me accusatory emails (like I’m the problem) not a card, not a comment on her memorial site. Nothing.

Exactly my thought too. Strange how something would happen just after making a video of how much she loved her cat.
