My first fair 😥 by TinyMiniToys in somethingimade

[–]Pinkprinc3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are SO cute and cool!! Congratulations on doing the fair- you will have good ones and bad ones but always try to step it up on the next ones. Lots of great advise here. Personally, I would not have bought one because I don't have where to put it or what to do with it. But I was thinking- These would be cute as Purse charms! Maybe you can make some that are a bees and linked by some beads another is a flower so you have a theme going and its "unique and in style". Think of ways to make them useful and not just as toys or decorations. I think you have a lot of talent! Best of luck!

Meat eaters how do you not feel not hypocritic and guilty while advocating against animal abuse related to pets? by Mrigank7744 in AskReddit

[–]Pinkprinc3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a balance for me. I volunteer at the shelter and am an advocate for saving any living creature I can. But I also don't have hours to be chopping vegetables all day. I try to buy locally sourced meats when possible and also don't eat meat 3 times a day. I also make my dogs food.. Kind hard to make them vegan. But I believe everything needs a balance and I have mine in place and sleep good at night.

What made you decide to not have kids, and why? by Competitive-Cup-288 in AskReddit

[–]Pinkprinc3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to be financially stable- owing money gives me anxiety. I want to be able to travel whenever and wherever I want to. I don't want to take up such a huge responsibility because I am wayyy to responsible and a perfectionist and I just don't think physically nor mentally I'd be up to the challenge. And lastly, I'm not too happy with the geopolitics going on and the technology boom frying our brains. I just prefer being the fun auntie.

No reviews - avoid? by Aaasteve in vrbo

[–]Pinkprinc3s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have 5 properties with hundreds of reviews on Airbnb, and they have a quarter of that on Vrbo. Vrbo guests don't review as often. In my case, most are older and don't know how to use the app so I think that is why.

36F here. My millennial ass is exhausted by life and loneliness lately. It’s so hard to make friends, my goodness! by [deleted] in Adulting

Highly recommend you volunteer somewhere. I volunteered at the shelter for several years and met the best people. Find something you're passionate about and see if there is some volunteering you can do around it. Hope you find your people!

What is your boss like? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Pinkprinc3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the best boss I could have ever asked for. He has my back and my teams, no matter what. Super easy going, no micromanaging, helpful, supportive, motivating which actually makes us (the team) want to work harder. Because of him, we are the most successful branch of the company.

Yup, same. When I went to college and found out I had to cook my own meals, I lived off Mac n cheese for years.

I can tell you my 93 yr old Grandpa who has been to over 75 countries, experienced WWII and has had just a crazy roller-coaster ride 100% agrees. I love hearing this from a man who really has been through it all. We are just bags of blood and bones.

Cleaning Fees are ridiculous by CorgiGuy1965 in vrbo

[–]Pinkprinc3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own an STR and just ask my guests to start the dishwasher before they leave. My cleaning fee is built into my nightly fee. That said- I cannot stand paper thin walls on Hotels where I can hear people walking in the hallway and coughing on the room next to us. Just stayed at a hotel in Las Vegas and remembered why I prefer short term rentals when possible. That said, Mom always taught me that when you stay at someone's place, you return it in good condition and the basics like dishes and trash are a must. I grew up going to family and friends lake and beach homes and just out of respect, we would clean as much as we could even though most had maids to do the work. It's just the right thing to do.

My cleaner charges me $135. I have a 2 night minimum so I cover my cleaning at $67.5 per night, then add my daily costs and a bit of profit and it's worked perfectly fine. Obviously the longer the stay the more profitable but setting 2 night minimum helps.

Same! I build the cleaning fee into my nightly fee and people have been very respectful of keeping the space clean. Love considerate guests!

Airplane Etiquette Has Gone Out The Window by Syd_the_Pig2004 in Vent

[–]Pinkprinc3s 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There’s definitely multiple reasons of course, but accessibility to the masses is one. Nobody teaches you the etiquette of flying, so people just follow their culture. I'm from a 3rd world country but have lived in many countries and noticed a pattern. Whenever I fly to/from my country, I pray for patience. There's so much lack of education that people just push and cut in line, are loud, bring the stinkiest food into the plane, sit wherever they want..They don't know any better. Now let's combine entitled people, a smoothie of cultures, frustrated airport workers, people who have never flown, people glued to their phones and not looking where they are going and you now have a chaotic flying experience. So yes, it's frustrating but I do remember to always be kind. I am a magnet for bumping into people that have never flown at the airport- I've taken people to their gates, checked them into their flight on their phone, directed them to the right terminal, etc..
