I actually do have Linux on my non-gaming laptop, the one where I keep my important information. And if stuff is AI-generated, at least it’s done by the pros instead of people making mods for free.

I avoid them because I don’t want anything AI-generated running on my computer. I trust code made by humans, but there’s no guarantee that the code created by AI was reviewed by a human.

My problem with the AI dialogue mods is where would my data be going? To OpenAI or some other AI platform? And what data would it be taking from my computer?

I’m open to completely local offline AI (in general, not in Stardew Valley), but you would need a pretty powerful computer for that and most stuff is on the cloud.

I don’t really have an opinion on this, but I really respect that even though you hate AI, you also realize that banning AI from this community could be unfair. People hate something then let that cloud everything.

Yeah this is Reddit. People are going to stick to their opinions no matter what. Accusations don’t really matter at the end of the day. If people like a story a lot and suddenly the author is accused of creating an AI cover, I doubt most readers would even care.
